I would have to say FMA (Full Metal Alchemist). I watched every single episode and the ending just sucked. I feel like I wasted all my bandwidth and download quota.
Another one was Rozen Maiden because I didn't realise they cut the series.

Everything would have been awsome if Itou stayed with Kotonoha.
But NOOOOO he goes and cheats on her and has sex with everyone else.

03-23-2008, 09:42 PM
Yah, that was a pretty stupid move (the more i think about it, the less i can do to defend it) guess your right all the way
Rnanaka

Yay, I won the debate, in one post :P .

And you were the fool. :D
Anyways, I think that Haruhi Izumia thing sucked too... Too bad there's a season two coming up.

Animes that made me dissappointed...hmm...
Rec-I mean it was funny, short and all, but...just parts of the initial relationship are so un-believable it's downright hysterical.
Naruto-Everyone was clamoring about, but to me it's just a normal shonen, not interesting in the least.
Kashimashi-The ending was just screwed up beyond all.
Cromartie High School-Amazing, but my god...that last episode...the horrors I saw there....*goes into shock*
Umm, I'll have to get back to this, I know there's more but I don't remember right now.
Rnanaka
03-23-2008, 10:12 PM
I don't know any of those but Naruto... Naruto really sucks... Well... maybe because I'm not a shonen? D:
AdamLong
03-23-2008, 10:26 PM
Rec is a short romance comedy/drama/echhi that is 9 episodes long and each episode is 12 minutes. Odd format, I know. Basically it's about these two people who meet trough a "tragedy" and how their lives are intertwined after it. An aspiring voice actress (who happens to be obsessed with Audrey Hepburn and all her movies) has her house burn down and she ends up staying at a guys house (he happens to live close to her) who she had met in a movie theatre just the night before. He turns out to be in the marketting business and mostly the anime just follows their relationship. It's funny and all and moves along decently and gets a lot done in it's short time span, but just the very initial moment is awkard and makes me question the thing as a whole.
^-Yay for long explainations!
Kashimashi is more better known as Girl Meets Girl. It's a romance, comedy, drama, yuri. A fairly girly guy gets rejected by a girl he likes and flees to the mountains. A flying saucer crashes into the mountain, killing him. The aliens revive him, but mistakenly bring him back as a girl. A love triangle eventually develops between the boy (now girl), his childhood friend and also with the girl who had rejected him. Despite being screwed up beyond belief it was actually entertaining. But my god, the ending was so overdone.
And finally Cromartie High School. This one is simple. It's a random, witty comedy set in a school full of badasses (and gorillas, and robots, and aliens). There's no general plot or development. It's a hilarious comedy, nothing more. But that last episode...*pukes out both lungs*
I'm willing to bet you don't care eitherway though and I just wasted my time typing this all out.

Well everyone has his own opinions, as for naruto, it's because it is alone, giving a fight to the pirates and you must respect that, also you can feel that anything could happen after all the twists that have happened in the manga. (no censor, far better)

Oh, I hate love comedies... only one that I actually liked was Final Approach.
AdamLong
03-23-2008, 10:38 PM
And Final Approach I have never heard of.
Just wondering, what do you like, kida?
the_bacon_man
03-23-2008, 10:40 PM
.. what was final approach about kida?
Rnanaka
03-23-2008, 11:20 PM
I'm not Kida T.T .. Just call me Ryo o.o
Anyways, a guy [his name is Ryo, just like mine :D] is living with his sister alone because thier parents died.
Then one day, a reaaaaaly cute girl breaks in from the apartment window, suprising him, and asking him if he would marry her [that would be awsome in reality].
He was suprised... and its a new government program so that the Japanese population wouldn't decrease, so yeah... but its a test drive.
Then he says know, and she wouldn't give up, goes to the same school, and with all this government power, she can do anything, like move up a grade so that she can sit with him.
The teacher announces that they are both going to be married and whatnot, and well... more love comiedies until he finally gets real mad and she goes back to her hometown. The girl's father calls and says that he dosen't agree to the marrage. WTF? So then something happens [I forgot] and he comes back to get her, and she also tells her why she wants to marry her. Then yeah... not much after that.
I just like this love comedy for some reason. :P

03-23-2008, 11:38 PM
that sound like a strange but great series ryo, im gonna go check it out when i can
Rnanaka
03-23-2008, 11:39 PM
It's not like ramma 1/2 though.
Oh, and there's 13ish episodes, 15 min each so yeah, you'll finish early.
AdamLong
03-23-2008, 11:41 PM
That's why I said it sounds a lot like it...
any-wehy,you didn't answer my question before Ryo.
What animes do you usually like?
autumnsgrace
03-23-2008, 11:55 PM
The first that comes to mind is Bleach. The plot is sound, but it's just turning into a DBZ clone with its ever-increasing power levels that just equate to larger explosions.
Inuyasha was sort of the same thing plus being the same blasted story over and over. Power up sword, thwart Naraku(sp), fight with Kagome, rinse, repeat until you can't budget a proper ending for the show.
Naruto is another obvious one. It started out fine, but now, instead of stretching out two minutes of manga reading into 23 minutes of facial expressions, grunts, and flashbacks, just make another bloody filler arc!
Shakugan no Shana was just terrible. Poor plot and battle animation on top of the apparent need to put in as much fanservice as possible to keep interest in the show drove me away pretty quickly.
Beyond those four, I dunno. My repertoire of finished/up to date anime is relatively small. Of the five remaining: Cardcaptor Sakura, Tsubasa Chronicles, FMA, Clannad, and Kanon, I was satisfied enough with.

mines is totally bleach, I mean at first it was awesome, the plotline was awesome, then it got to SOUL SOCIETY, hmmm it was alright, not that bad, BUT AFTER THAT, the whole series went downhill, it killed the whole shinigami feel to it. It turned out to be TOO disappointing for me to continue

Anyone who likes anything rather than shonen anime? Something like Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni, Reminds me of this picture:

hmm, I liked honey and clover

What anime is that? I'd like to know.
autumnsgrace
03-24-2008, 12:35 AM
Honey and Clover was one I couldn't take seriously enough to continue. It's categorized as humor/romance, but the female love interest is supposedly eighteen, but drawn to look closer to seven. Draw style doesn't normally drive me away from a series, but as a romance, that would just have been too weird.

Ugh, more love comedies? Anyone like Elfen Lied?
AdamLong
03-24-2008, 11:48 AM
Heh, none taken.
Anyway, Elfen Lied was okay. At times though it got too over-dramatic and I lost interest. It was well-done on a whole, and entertaining, but I've seen better in that genre.
To be honest with you I don't like love comedies a whole lot, but I do appreciate the ones that are good. And on a whole those were, but they were the first ones to come to mind that I had complaints with. Although CHS is anything but a love comedy >_>

I think he's talking about that one anime I mentioned(in the paragpraph you skipped)-Kashimashi(I did mention the name the show is normally known by was Girl Meets Girl). I told him the ending was absolute crap, but did he listen? Nooooooooooooooooo. I was fine with the whole aliens stuff in that anime until that point. It just got over the top and ridiculous. Trust me, it has got to be one of the most screwed up endings in an anime, ever. Simply for how spur of the moment and stupid it was. Completely ruins the whole build-up the show was aiming for in the characters relationships >_>
/end the rant

What do you generally like anyway?
the_bacon_man
03-24-2008, 10:34 PM
it's really depend on what im looking at the moment, it can go from drama (serious one), to comedy, and sometimes over the top violence
... also love story because im an train wreck who always get dumped in the month.
... pretty much anything that have the characters seem less one-dimensional (ex: %% look at me, i have big breasts but i can't understand why guys are looking at them%%)
Rnanaka
03-24-2008, 10:46 PM
Oh, bacon, if you want to see crap, go watch school days.
Adam, School days is an Anime where a guy named Itou having his ordinary life, watching a girl named Kotonoha sitting and reading every day. Theres a rumor saying that if you take a picture of the person you like with your phone, put it as your wallpaper, and not have anyone notice, you will have a good relationship with him/her. So he does that, and on the last day, Sekai [the person who actually has a crush on him] finds out and helps him get with Kotonoha. Well, then kotonoha goes out with him, everything goes fine, until Sekai confesses that she likes him. So then his mind changes, he cheats on kotonoha, has sex with everyone else, and yeah... Sekai gets pregnant, or maybe [she lies that she's pregnant just go get with Itou]... and everyone starts hating Itou. So on Christmas, he calls everyone he knows, but no one answers, but he sees Kotonoha sitting there. She tells her that she's been texting him on his phone, but he didn't know and blah blah blah... So she's happy! YAY!!!!! So yeah.. she invites him to go on a date on a yot... Then Itou goes to Sekai's house, gets a text from Sekai... saying sorry, he turns back, and BAM. He gets stabbed. Then Kotonoha gets pissed and kills Sekai. showing her a bag, and inside, was Itou's head. Anyways, then it ends having Kotonoha and Itou's head in the bag... And Kotonoha saying "we're finally alone Itou" .

yeah.. crappy anime I LOVED IT THOUGH! I can't stop watching this ending :P .
Now Final Approach... I posted somewhere here in this thread... I don't feel like typing as much as school days.

03-24-2008, 10:51 PM
Yah i pretty watched school days when it first came out ryo (ps he doesn't like adam, that the only reason i call him baliji, cause that the nickname he chose to not be called adam)
anyway i liked the series, still think that madoko was an ass, but as everybody else, the ending wasn't what i wanted to see (he had it coming but still, i wanted Kotonoha but be happy AND sane) for me, it ended at ep 11 and ep 12 is an myth
Rnanaka
03-24-2008, 10:59 PM
Yeah, Kotonoha and Makoto would have been a great couple... I wish I had a girlfriend like that... And thanks for the tip.

i'm pretty sure the only reason it ended like that was to mimic the infamous bad endings of the game to get more ratings. (violence is always good for the ratings they say)
now gtg see what final approach is
