View Full Version : Oldest RPG you that you didnt finish, but would like to.
DrunkenCoyote 12-07-2011, 07:07 PM Back on the OOOOld sega master system. I had a game called Ys Book 1&2. I made it so far in that game. but i never beat it. we actually glitched the game forward some how and got into the tower, we made it to the final boss but we lacked the silver armor shield and sword, so we never beat em, and thus our quest was over. I saw the same title on the Wii downloads, and i bought it. And i must say the new soundtrack and game speed increase was amazin! I played for afew days and finaly beat the boss Dark Fact, and made it to book to, and im halfway through that chapter. Im so close to beating it!
Another RPG that I never beat was Golvellius: valley of doom. I mad it vary far in that game. so dang far. I was at the point where I had to find the final boos, but never did. This game had the password save system. and it never worked. so what i did instead of saving was leave the system on, and leave my character in a safe place. but alas during a cleaning session, the system was unplugged! leaving all my hard work waisted! Hours, days! GONE! as far as i know the game can only be played on the sega master system, which i dont have, Bummer. this is one that may be left undone.
Any one have any similar stories to share? Id like to hear them!

i realy dont remember a coach moving scene in FF7...

LivE-EviL 12-16-2011, 08:24 AM Interesting Thread! Shining Force 1 and 2 were two games that I started playing, but never finished. They had an interesting concept of round-based fights, but (years ago when I played them) I found them really hard to beat, even in the middle stages. Maybe I'll start playing them again.
If I recall correctly, they were avaible over Steam some time ago.

Kisuke_Uchiha 01-25-2012, 03:08 AM Time Stalker for the Dreamcast. I had got half way through the game and then just stop playing for a while. Laid the disc down somewhere and couldn't ever find it again. I found it 2 years ago when I was cleaning up. The disc was all scratch up, I tried cleaning it. After I cleaned it I pop it in my pc hoping it would of run in the Dreamcast emulator I downloaded. Sadly the disc was too badly damage and didn't have any luck of find the iso file online either :(.
Tina_1991 01-28-2012, 03:44 AM Final Fantasy VI ... I played about 60 hours or so and then lost interest. Now - 5 years later - I've got a PSone and the game but can't motivate myself to start again and finish it :freez:
Final Fantasy VIII. I really liked that game and never did end up finishing it. I thought Squall and Rinoa were cool characters.

I wish they would make a FFVIII re-release on the DS or 3DS.
ExHaseo 02-22-2012, 09:47 PM Mine is Xenogears. I've actually never met anyone that's beaten it. It's such a long game, and there's at least one part where if you mess up, you can't advance, which is the part I got to and never started over. It was a great game though, with a fantastic story and a fun battle system. I really need to go back and attempt to play it again xD

yes, baiten kaitos is a great game for GC, i recommend it.
As for game i wish i had completed, i dont even remember the name or anything :189bbdde: been trying to find it forever, but all i know is that it was a top down adventure that took place in a tower or something... gray stone walls... i think for the SNES, but could be for Genesis
