This is a contest to see who can explain in the best,most articulate
way why animated women are so beutiful and appealing.Many thousands
of people around the world wonder why us anime fans find animated
characters so beutiful.The object of this contest is to see
who can best explain in a theory and explanation why we have such
tastes to the people who
just dont understand the beuty we see in these designs of such
artistic genius,or to people who find us "weird".the winner
will win 100 top-of-the-line Hentai/Ecchi pics OR Direct
download of 5-10 episodes of one of 7 animes(series names will be listed later,after i check on the series i have available )
and recognition
as the author of the best theory on why we find animated women so
attractive and beutiful.the only rules are is that the answer has
to be an educated explanation of why they are so attractive to us
anime fans/"otakus"
I will be one of the judges,meaning that if i write an explanation it
will not be elligeable to be a winning theory(i have the hentai pics
anyway, hehe ;) )
I will need 3-5 more judges, so if you wish to voulanteer,just PM
me. most likely ,the judges will be the first people to respond
asking to be a judge.Also, if you choose to be a judge, you may
write your theory on why we fing animate women so attractive but it
will not be elligeable to win. winners will be picked on the 2nd of
april, so you have plenty of time to think about your theory.

Because is the ideal woman a man can want. They are beautiful, with perfect shaped bodies, cute, big eyes (something I seek even in real women :p) and most of them have great characters. Also the japanese voices fits them like a charm making them even cuter. IF you see it from a more hentai prospective they are always "available" if you catch my drift :p.
And that's why I collect female anime characters figures ( I have about 40 of them and I wait for another 6 of them from the mail).

Animated women are something no real girl can ever really achieve to look like. And there is that feeling of wanting something that one can't get and wanting it more for that reason. They are perfectly proportional and always look beautiful not matter what time of day it is. That's a rare sight in the real world. Even really gorgeous girls have their off days. But an animated woman is always pretty, perfect, and ready for whatever happens to her while wearing a nice outfit. They rarely have flaws and in truth don't exude a feeling of a real girl. And otakus who are uncomfortable around a real, pretty girl can safely and without embarrassment, show their feelings to this anime girl without the fear of being ridiculed or rejected. While the beauty might not be real, no one can really stop from admiring something or someone that is beautiful, and no one can deny that anime girls are the perfect specimen.

Anime girls (duno why did you left boys out) are perfection, and a little extreme on places so we only could achieve that if we would spend a few mill on plastic and stuff... maybe even then you could not do it.
Not to mention the sweetest fruit is the forbidden fruit, or unobtainable one.

I think: is because you can meet the kind of girl you like the most( shy or sexy manner, not mean that shy girls cant be sexy) and all animated girls have perfect bodies, cute faces, wonderful voices, and you can see her in any situation that you can imagine, even if the animated girls is shy mannered you can fall in love(literaly) with her

it's because there is no limit to the artist fantasy. He can make her as sexy, shy, ugly or anything that the artist wants. he can choose to not make flaws or do make them (ofcourse nobody wants the characters to have flaws ;) )

totally agree...that's what designing a character is all about after all..u can do whatever u like, making it veeery good so others like it too...and here we are discussing about the matter!

First of all, because they are painted (I guess it´s about painted anime characters, but many explanations I will give would fit to computer animated characters, too).
So they only exist in a whole fantasy world matching to it. Most people wouldn´t regard a real girl as beautiful standing in front of you, if she would look the way an anime character does.
Another reason is that many parts can be left out in paintings, which leaves the rest to the imagination, so that everyone can get his dream girl in his head. Even in more classical painting you learn to do that, because too much detail often makes a girl/woman too "edgy" and most of the time it´s way better to leave some things to imagination.
A third method nearly always used is overexaggeration in body measures, eyes, hair... this is done once to make it easier and faster to understand for the viewers, and it looks more attractive in paintings.
Overall you could say it´s because they are a fantasy living in a fantasy world, but the same things wouldn´t really work in reality, because at least I wouldn´t like a girl with unnatural huge eyes in her face, a waist that small and these long thin legs in reality. Of course I like big eyes, a small waist and long thin legs, but if in reality a girl like the anime characters would stand in front of me, I would think that she maybe has a weird genetic disease.
