it's something like reputation :P it'll be count and ppl can see if you are popular or not... this also is for ppl who don't post but click on thx when they like what you do/contribute/post. or sth like that... I guess

lol its a hack for VB used usually in warez forum to prevent ppl from posting useless Thank you posts to increase their post counts... but i guess its of no use in anime forums they full of spam :em0137:

Well, I know some boards with this feature and I don´t think it´s bad.
You can´t see hidden posts like links/passwords before using the thank button.

Each time a user hits your thank button you get +1 rep.
I think it is a good way to show appreciation to the uploaders. You can see if an upload is popular or not. Most people just lurk around and leech. Never posting anything.

Here you can only get a boost if Akira +reps you. Most people rep power is = 0. ^^

Edit: If you hide your links this way it will get reported less, too. ^^
