Eye Color

Now I just read the Body type thread, and posted, and I just want to do a little poll here now based on that [kinda].

It seems every time I read something about what attracts girls to guys, eyes rank very, very high on the list. Therefore I kinda want to see what the ladies favorite [natural] eye color is an a guy, or girl.

i'm not sure if it's the color that draws me to a guy's eyes. it's probably because you can sometimes tell what kind of a person they are by how their eyes look; instincts ftw.

but silver eyes are so sexy...mmm...that's what i'd stare at after i figured that he wasn't a serial rapist.

well if there's any other argument that two different natural eye colors can exist, driver's licenses in IL require that you put the eye color of your dominant eye if you have two different colors

although i definitely think blue+green combo is sexy, too many ppl wear colored contacts nowadays though =/

Eyes don't just change colour do some research.

Eyes can change color in the same way that skin tans.

While changes in eye color of infants are more common, even in adults, eye color changes are seen, most often as a result of exposure to the sun. Sunlight triggers melanin production in the eye, as it does to the skin.

Eyes can change color in some people because of genetics or injury.

typically when an eye does change color due to age, it doesn't change to a completely new color like brown to blue. it's a few shades darker or a few shades lighter, you see the same in the eyes of cats (<3) and dogs.

Thats only in some places O.o . If you go to Kobe or Kyoto, theres a bunch of Americans there. I don't know about a redhead though...

Actually my eyes are blue-gray, much like that. So I can say that they do exist. They also under the right circumstances look almost baby-blue and green.

Yeah, I actually experience this - my eyes have a greenish outer circle and a brown inner one, making them alternately appear hazel or green depending on the lighting etc.

If your information is correct though, the dominant colour in them may actually be changing, which I'd never really considered before... interesting.

I assure you that both of my eyes are the same color. I do not have heterochromia.


EDIT: Took a picture of my other to show that I don't, and found that I have a really cool effect with yellow going on around the iris.

And red eyes are the worst of those, really. They require suc a lack of substance that most of the color in the iris comes from the blood vessels underneath. (Note that violet eyes are half that, half blue eyes.)

The question was a toughie for me, since I love both heterochomacy and violet eyes. I picked violet, though.

I like peculiar things very much. There's a girl in my class who has a teardrop-shaped birth mark under her right eye. She hates it, but I find it absolutely adorable. Magnificent eyes, too. I'm pretty sure she's the first blonde girl I've found really to my liking.

I have hazel eyes, but the thing is that in most lightings it seems like there's brown inner rim, green middle rim and dark blue outer rim. I didn't think about it much until my girlfriend kept staring at my eyes and studied a bit about eye colors. She found an article that said it is just differend shades of brown and blue combined making it look like green. (Even after that she seemed very interested about my eyes...)

Heterochromia [2 different colors]

I had to select that but it's bit more complicated than that. They are catlike in shape but
they are usually Hazel Amber Green Grey and sometimes they are Golden all at the same time. I have a dark brown ring then the other colors form rings and they can appear all these colors or some days one of them will stand out more than others. Also depends on what I am wearing and hair color.

For the most part people ask me "What color are your eyes?" My answer. Whatever color you see.

You all are so funny. I normally like guys with brown eyes. Something about warm inviting eyes that draw me to a guy. And if he had a cute face and cute smile that would really drive me wild. But who knows it all depends on the guy.

FYI: If you have ever seen a person with 1 brown eye & one Blue. You'll see this in children of mixed race showing a dominat (Brown) & Recessive(Blue) trait in your genetics. I have seen this in Black and White people and in one Asian kid. THat is Heterochromia Hetero= Different Chromia= Color. For people who have eye color that changes in light that is not considered Heterochromia because of the refraction of light. You most likely have not as much brown pigment as those who have brown eyes but you have dominat (brown eye color) as the traits. If a person as splashes of color in the iris & pupil that is genetic mutations. Melanin pigment is the brown that you have seen in your eyes. The lighter the eyes the less melanin and you are more supspectable to sun burn easily.
So everyone where sunglasses and sunblock.

My choise is brown that i like most, it combines with the skincolor i like.

For all others, its just lack of selfasteem if you are about mixt colors or even 3 or 4 and a little bit of a 5th color in my left eye.
You'll get over it when you ages...
