one of the best Old Animes *-* the story is very great, i love the Versailles no Bara. I saw a OAV in anidb but cant find in Internet + i saw in youtube a trailer about New Lady Oscar Movie... when its come? :x

It was good up until episode 20 or something, since they ran out of production values. Basically, if you know history, the whole plot goes downhill from then.

Marie Antoinette was a total airheaded floozy in both real life and in the show.

Well, I think this anime is not THAT great overall. But there is the ending.... It is the BEST Anime ending i have EVER seen, and it was the first time (I was 8 years old!) that I cried while watching an Anime...

This is one of the best stories I've seen in anime! After I started watching this I realized how much this series influenced many other series that came later.

Not to mention I like the art style. Its a great comparison piece to show how much anime art has changed since they stopped using cells.
