Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion

I am surprised that this is not talked about. I do believe this is licensed and will be slotted to aired soon in the US on Cartoon Networks alongside DeathNote and Trinity Blood while the second series is geared to be aired in Japan this upcoming spring.

Summary:
On August 10th, 2010, a.t.b., the Holy Empire of Britannia overpowered Japanese forces and conquered the country with their robotic weapons, the Knightmare Frames, in less than a month. Japan lost its freedom and rights and was renamed Area 11. The Japanese people, renamed as "Elevens", were forced to survive in ghettos, while Britannians lived in first-class settlements. Rebel elements persisted, however, as pockets of Japanese organizations who struggled against the Empire for the independence of Japan.

After his father, the Emperor of Britannia, did nothing to pursue the terrorists who murdered his mother and crippled his sister, the young prince named Lelouch vowed to destroy Britannia. Seven years later, living in Area 11, he encounters a mysterious girl who gives him the power of Geass. With it, he finally has the power that he needs to defeat Britannia and fulfill his two wishes: to seek revenge for his mother and to construct a world in which his beloved sister can live happily.

It IS talked about because its basically the frigging coolest anime around and I wish they would release season 2 already so I can see what happens!!

code geass is pretty awesome. i have it all downloaded in hq. i found something similar to it. its called kiss dum engage planet. ive onli seen 10 episodes. ive onli downloaded up to episode 9. can someone tell me where to find the rest? or at least up till episode 13. anyways watch kiss dum engage planet if u like code geass.

I've just started the first season (subbed), and haven't seen any of the dubs yet, probably because I have to go to bed before it airs due to work. Still, I'm enjoying the series so far, and hope to finish it soon so I can start season 2.

I finished the first season long ago, but I'm rewatching with the dubs that are coming out on Adult Swim. It's not great, but not horrible. I can stomach it mainly because Ichigo's voice actor (JYB) from Bleach is Lulu in Code Geass. And Code Geass R2 is on a break this week. =(

Well, on the bright side, when anime is licensed; we have the oppurtunity of seeing them on very high quality dvd's... the issue is really ummm... expensive much?!!
In my opinion, when they manufacture these dvd's, they need more value added elements, like new contents, alternate episodes ? alternate endings? to make it worth buying.
on the other hand, yeah, only adds more work on the manufacturers part...
but they should do it for lelouch though.. I see it as a great anime and art, as oppose to a mere cash cow

To true, if you think either one thing will happen, or another, they just make a suprising third outcome. Not to mention they dont hesitate to kill main characters (You know who Im talking about)

Best anime in my opinion. I talk about it often, but I watch it online so I avoid spoiling it for people who havn't seen it. It is also a recent anime, as far as the US goes, so not much publicity. And no commercials either.
