after the ending HOTD OVA they announced this anime will continue, does the official announcement release for the season 2?

Should be one . Heard back in February that a Season 2 production has already started . The OVA announcement also backs up the story . Last I heard, it should be released in September this year . But since they pushed back the release of the OVA from February to April, I'm thinking Season 2 will be a bit late . Maybe Winter anime again but who knows . They might land a surprise in Summer anime this year .

Good you didn't say "exept one". In many of the good old B-/C-/D- Zombie movies (yes such categories may exist - a friend of mine has ~200GB of Zombie-Trash films and the best rank would be B) even the main charaxter dies. Which is the most logical end in such an unlogic situation like a Zombie invasion. :D

And it would be quite satisfying - not that I'm necrophilic, but some scenes are GODDAMN annoying, mostly the ones with the teacher/nurse, don't know atm what she was.

I mean, that will make it easier to appeal to a wider audience - and I'm surprised by the fact it got a bluray in Australia for one, but for the sake of consistency..

i thought the manga was in hold curently..if they do make a new season for the anime then it will only be a 12 episode max...

Hope so ... I'm a really big fan of HOTD :3

I think " Highschool of the dead " is one of my best perfectly series, and I didn't watch series anime like this before, with action, adventure and romantic and more . .

I hope to wait much more before release the second season to give the manga get more events, this will give the new series more than 13 episode.
I think if make it as 26 episode will be fantastic, and not compressing the events.
This is will happen if the manga from basis must be long story, in another word
much more volumes for this nice manga.

yeah... and from the left over meterial... season 2 either won't happen or we need to wait a few more year...

i like this series myself and would like to know of that kid found his mom like they left it in the last episode they made.
