ok.. I guess I will get this voting off to a start I hope.. I was drawn to two wallpapers Sewin and Sanct...

Sewin's was good but for some reason the light sources don't match in some places and it throws it off for me.. but I loved the Easter egg hunt theme, or at least that's what I got out of it..

But my vote will have to go with sanctaphrax
the way it's simply done and just speaks Easter, with the eggs being the main focal point and all painted up.. It's light and airy and leaves space if you need it.

With themed wallpapers, my primary criteria for judging is how well they fit the theme. This was the deciding factor for me between Sewin and sanctaphrax.

Both have very appropriate lighting and effects. The darker tone of Sewin's entry really highlights the render used, while the lighter brush and background of sanctaphrax's entry give it a softer feel.

But like I mentioned before, it is how well they fit the theme. With sanctaphrax, you know exactly what it is supposed to be, an Easter Egg collection, nothing more or less. For Sewin, the symbolism becomes a bit confused when you try to combine the egg, the rebirth, and the associated emotions (especially if you have watch Madoka before).

So in the end, my vote goes to 3) sanctaphrax.

They're all good, though sanctaphrax's just kind of stands out to me, I love the combination of the lights colors used in their piece, also the fact that it's simple yet it's also very beautiful in my opinion, while still sticking to the required theme for the contest.

All in all my vote goes to 3) sanctaphrax.

Well im no good at critiquing things at all, but i will give this a shot.

I really liked all the pics... The one however that stood out to me the most was Sanctaphrax's. The detail put into the background mingles well with the eggs, almost as if the pattern of the background would be found on one of those eggs. The eggs stand out, but not too much where you would never notice the background, and the colours chosen in my opinion fit in quite well so that nothing really looked out of place.
For the other pictures, i found for #1 and #5 the characters stood out a little too much. for #2 maybe darken it up a tad, i found that all the white made it just a little blinding. and for #4, maybe instead of a regular grid, you could have made the boxes larger and turned them into a calender.
My overall vote goes to #3 Sanctaphrax

* It's a beautiful piece. I love the cool green forest bg.
* The concept of "rebirth" is shown here which keeps with the theme.
* I like the use of sparkles and lights to highlight the characters.
* Text is not bad, overall it makes a good wallpaper.

it's nicely done and work hard...
usin' the color was so wonderful, he made it so happy just by lookin' at the color..
the shimmering and the shiny of the wallpaper...gave it a brightly feelin's..
and it's shows the contest theme...clearly ^_^


his work make it really sound like ester day is happy and shiny..
and I can see that in his work...

My vote is for...3) Stella's Easter Wallpaper

I really like Stella's entry, I like how bold and sharp the color's of the easter eggs are, plus I usually
don't like most text in wallpaper's but this one in my opinion is perfect. It's not crowded nor does
it try to add to many elements to it, I find it to be simple and clean and for that it gets my vote.
