The latest installment in the Initial D Arcade Stage racing series hit arcades today. Visit your local game center and you may be able to pop some ¥100 coins into Initial D Arcade Stage 6 AA (pronounced "Double A").
AA is the first new installment in the series in about two years. It adds a two on two tag battle mode to the previous Highway Fastest Legend, Time Attack and National Battle modes. The game also adds two courses, bringing the total course count to 10, and three cars, bringing the total to 34.
The tag battle mode has teammates team up to collect gold and silver "A (ace) Panels" that line the course. This requires communication, as grabbing the same color earns higher points. At the end of the race, the the winner is determined by this tag score.
Sega has also expanded the network capabilities of the game, crossing boarders and allowing for versus races throughout all of Asia.
so maybe later on on the ps3?? who nows..
