Mystery Girl

Well I met this girls mother in the general store yesterday.
Her name is "Pipa" she has a Husband called "Greg" (No I don't like Pipa).
Anyway we began talking when she said "Oh my God! Is that Daniel? Holy shit I haven't seen you in like 10 YEARS"!
Which is about right because when I was about 6 - 7 I took swimming lessons at their house and me and Pipa's daughter "Miranda" would always eat iceblocks and stuff. Miranda's brother would always get angry quickly so her and I would just wander off somewhere.
Yes we were only 6 or 7 years old.

Anyway. So I saw her yesterday for the first time in 10 years. Yes. 10 Freeking years. I had really almost totally forgotten about the family that no one really knows, who lives down Tuntable lane.

The story goes that my mother hated Pipa. Well cutting a 14 year story shorter then a bulldogs tail, my mother forgave Pipa yesterday and they hugged and made up.

Which means now I can crack onto Pipa's daughter without having to worry about anything from either of the parents.

So I saw Miranda in the car and she was absolutely gorgeous! I looked at her for quite awhile and she noticed me and we both checked each other out. But I didn't go and talk to her because the time Pipa stayed at our shop (she goes to another general store closer to her home which is why we never see her) was short. I suppose my main reason/excuse for not going over there was that I was shy that she wouldn't be interesting in striking up a friendship after 10 years of not knowing each other.
The other reason I didn't walk up to her window and talk to her was because I had a friend with me who doesn't know about Pipa and Greg because he hasn't been in the valley long enough to know them.
So anyway I never got to hear her voice... when Pipa got into her car and they began to driver away Pipa and Greg are rich sorta, maybe not as much as us but they drive expensive cars because they are diamond hunters Miranda looked at me all the way down the road to the point where she didn't want to lose sight of me that she actually took off her seatbelt and stuck her head out the window. I smiled and she smiled back and then she was gone... and I was left thinking I'll be fucked if I let atleast a friendship between her and I go away for another 10 years.

So basically here I am asking for advice on how to strike up a conversation with her so we can progress to being friends again and involve ourselves in each other.
She looked like she remembered me yesterday even after 10 years. I remembered her. Jesse said she was checking me out because he stayed out of view so I knew it wasn't him, he also missed a bit of it anyway.

So yeah, thats really all. I really want to get this girl to know me again and vicer versa I have her phone number. (Aahh the wonders of the Phone Book)..

I'm no expert in striking conversations, but you can always try the usual lines.

(hey its me from the shop. Long time no see. How you been? Can't believe its been 10yrs....
Reminisce about the old times. Bring up some happy memories when you two were together. Compliment on how gorgeous she looks over the years. Just take things nice and slowly, be yourself, don't try to be someone your NOT! Ask her if she like to get together sometime for lunch or something, or heck just to hang out. From what you posted, it seems like she was really interested in you, so it really shouldn't be that hard. Well good luck.

I dunno if she would remember but I suppose she would. I'll see, anyway. Wont ring her now she would be at school. I suppose she might be interested that I'm joining the Defense Force.

It's not like you don't have no reason to visit her, you should just arrange to hang out sometime or do something since you haven't seen each other and so long just say you want to catch up. I'm sure even if things don't work out you could at least catch up with her.

Well I rang her then and no one was home... (how typical) so I just left a simply message with my number.. I think she still might be at school. It's a friday so she could be doing anything. I made the first move at least, she'll at least know I'm interested because I rang.

As for "Didn't you have a girlfriend" Yes I HAD a girlfriend. But she broke up with me. I'm a free man and shes a free woman. We can both date anyone that we want, shes already gone out with a previous boyfriend so yeah. It's not like I'm cheating.

Well I'm at a friends place now so no chance is talking to her. I rang her a little while before I got here and the phone just rang out so they must be away for the weekend or something.
I'll try again later when I'm at home, weather or not we even become friends again is more or less up to her but I'm not going to go out of my way or anything seeing as I hardly know Miranda now. I'll ring her twice more, double check the number and if theres no answer I'll try again in the sorta-distant future.

I agree with this. It has been a while so you don't want to leave an impression of clingyness. If at all possible, meet her in person rather than leave her a bunch of messages.

Well she rang today. At 7:30pm. We talked for an hour. After getting over the awkwardness which I'm really good at we had a good talk and we flirted for about 40 minutes.
Her just saying I was hot and me doing the same. We organized that not this week comming but the next week we would catch up at hers or at mine or whatever and she can I could just chill by her pool or come to my house to chill at my house.
She was really happy that I wanted to get to know her again which made things much easier and basically made me lose all my nervousness.
Shes a professional swimmer (her mum used to be a pro as well so it runs in the family) so yeah I cant wait to see her in her pro swim suit.
Hopefully it'll be at her place because I don't know if I want her comming here, there are "complications" but yeah I have 2 weeks to work that out basically. Also she has a pool we could just chill at.
Her brother Chris has just finished grade 12 (last highschool grade before you graduate for you Americans) I spoke to him on the phone as well fortunately/unfortunately... (he wanted to talk so Miranda passed the phone to him before I could quietly object to her).
I wanted to talk to Miranda lol.. shes hot and I'm attracted to her, not her brother <_<.

Anyway. So yeah if Miranda comes over he'll proberly come as well.. but I dunno if things get heated then her and I could always pash behind a bush.

I was really happy that she was so interested in me and all she wanted to do was meet up again.. I took swimming lessons with her mum and her when I was 7 and she said verbatim "How about you come over again aye? and you'll be able to see me in a bikini or my pro swimsuit.. which ever you prefer hahaha"
So... I dunno what to say to that except yes please.

Hmmm now I just hope she doesn't expect to much from me. But I'll give it all I got.
Well there you have it for now, she rang back shes keen as hell and I'm going to drive right in.

I'll give yas another update when she calls next. She said she would because she doesn't trust that I'd remember to call her soon enough. (Meaning she wants to talk again A.S.A.P).. she actually had to go because he dad is a frigging skitzo and he was screaming "You've been on the phone for an hour"!!! (When my ex girlfriend and I can talk for NINE HOURS on the phone).

I'm just thinking what the worst possible outcome could be, you never know maybe her brother and her turn this story into incest or maybe you and him decide to turn this a different way.

If you had read the thread, (which is really really old now) you'll find that I spoke to her numerous times and I'm going over there this weekend also that I have a girl I'm in love with already and this girl doesn't interest me.
