But, the touch screen Nano is cheaper on Amazon...
Not to mention it has more features.
But, if that's the one you want, go for it.
I love the iPods, but hate the iTunes...

Don't purchase anything from Apple. You have to use a program to manage you files. That is complete bullshit and you should purchase better quality hardware. A Zen from Creative Labs is the best quality of MP3 play you can get as it is multiple compatable, hae great support, top quality hardware, drag&drop storage as well as software for playlists and it's cheaper for its quality. Get a Zen and you will never have to deal with the sadness of looking in the mirror every morning and knowing your a fag for buying Apple technology.

If you are lucky you can find a Creative ZEN Vision:M for cheap. I got lucky and found one for $45 brand new. It has: the ability to record on the air radio, voice recorder, color screen, decent battery life, comes with it's own ripping software, survives a few unintentional physical drops and I have been enjoying it. The bad- if you want to use it a portable drive, you have to partition it in the menu. It also has a very specific plug to recharge it with. Can't drag and drop mp3's in to it, have to use the software provided.

Or Sandisk mp3 players: I have some old 512mb ones that I use when i go for a quick jog. Drag and drop MP3's and you can use it as a storage device with drag and drop.

I know these are dated players but they still work for me and have made me think highly of these companies.

You may want to look at Sandisk's FUZE or Clip+. I have heard mostly good things about those players. The players also have a micro SD slot for being able to increase the amount of songs you have available to you.

I hope someone finds this useful.

use to have a Zen X-FI2.. but since you'd like a Zen w/o touch screen & a cheap price I suggest a Zen Style 100. (http://us.store.creative.com/ZEN-Style-100-4GB-Black/M/B004352QS2.htm) or a Zen Style 300 (http://us.store.creative.com/ZEN-Style-300-4GB-Black/M/B003D7AF2A.htm).

Personally I would get iPod Classic more space like 160 GB of space, for itunes no problem at pretty easy to use or manage. Plus itunes have a lot more features than before, I have an ipod nano and I'm not satisfy with only 2000 songs. There should be some sales at Amazon or Ebay. If you are a music lover I recommend on iPod Classic best choice I would say. :)
