Lol, There is a new movie called "Cloverfield" which is being advertized on TV, New York is being attacked by something, but in the Trailer, they don't show what's doing the attacking.

There is a roar sound in the trailer, but they don't tell what it is.

In my opinion, I think it's a Dragon or Dragons, but I don't know

What u think it is?

There are a lot theories of what the creature is going on around the internet. Some say it this one creature called ktulu, a squid type monster. Another was that Hollywood was making a new Power Rangers movie, and there was one theory that the monster is the StayPuff Marshmellow man. But in the end no one knows. I kind of doubt that it will be some dragon or anything. J.J. Abrams the producer said he wanted to create a original monster that Americans can call their own.
So whatever it is, it better be cool. Nothing Lame.:Ryu:

there was some fanart that said it was a giant mutated whale...still has yet to be seen though, dont think whales can roar like that.

Anyways quite excited about this movie, but will be quite pissed if i don't get to see the monster. the camera keeps shaking...

I know this movie will be amazing simply because it was made by the people who made LOST on tv!
If you want to know what the monster looks like, heres a concept drawing (spoiler!)

Just saw the movie, very awesome I definatly recomend it. Doing the movie through the hand held camera's point of view was brilliant

also difficult on viewers like me who have a hard time dealing with the camera movement.

I'm not saying I thought it was bad, I liked the movie, I just started having motion sickness during and after the movie lol

I just saw it today and I have to say as far as suspense goes it was good but this movie is more of a rental then to see in theaters. Now as for the monster, I think it was something that was man made. I mean there is no way that something that had been living in the ocean would be able to withstand the kind of shelling it went through. Now as for a alien that is also a distinct possibility. It attacked at night it seemed to show some kind of intelligence (the part where it destroyed the bridge to prevent people from escaping.) Now the biting thing I am still confused about. Did it just make your torso explode or did you become a host to make more of the little monsters?

no, I have to disagree with yall. I thought that movie sucked hard. It was like the blair witch project whiced sucked even worse. The camera angle was the worst. It was so shakey that my friend got dizzy and ran to the restroom to throw up. In the trailer I actually thought it was godzilla. Whatever it was it sure was ugly and skinny er than godzilla and did you see its spawns? If u saw it u knew what it looked like.

i think it have been in the ocean because if you watch the water in the last scene where the girl says it was a good day you see something drop into the water

Awesome movie - it's a shame that so many people have problems with it.

Probably just people used to the typical monster movie formula. "The main character has some idea halfway through and figures out how to save the day!" and they're disappointed that that doesn't happen, because they aren't able to deal with the unexpected - or they didn't get the idea from the previews that these people had no idea what was going on. Ah, well, you can't expect the filmmakers to pander to every stupid cliche people might crave.

Anyway, I loved how it was done, and the fact that what the movie promised - you follow a bunch of hapless people around while a monster destroys the city - is EXACTLY what they delivered. Complaining about that is like going to watch a Disney cartoon, then complaining that it wasn't live action.

Admittedly, I would have liked to known more about what was going on, where it came from, why (if it lived in the sea) it even bothered to come out of the water, and so on and so forth. But happily, I'm an intelligent person who doesn't expect a screenwriter to hold my hand throughout the movie and explain every little detail to me - I'm capable of dealing with a little mystery in my entertainment without starting to cry about how that bad, bad movie didn't tell me everything I wanted to know. I guess not everyone is like that, but whatever.

I'd totally recommend this to friends (and I have!) but I make sure to clarify that the movie isn't ABOUT the monster - the monster is background. The monster is a natural disaster in progress. The movie is about the people and what THEY are doing. And in that respect . . .

It's probably the best monster movie I've seen - except maybe for The Host. Maybe a tie, there.

yeah it was an awesome movie. but i think it was only good in theatres, because you get the feel of really being in the action. at home on your tv its just lacking a lot.

i saw that thing drop in the water too......people say it was a satellite or somthing.......

Pretty good creepy-action-thriller-horror movie.
Can't wait for Cloverfield 2, maybe a Video-Game mod(Crysis, UT2007...)
I for one hope that the writers keep their mysteries, and the so called homo-sapiens-sapiens kick some monster ass.

The movie gave me a headache

I believe it induces nausea too... especially in the cinema.

'Shaky Camera' technique or something >_<

For a while, IMDB had links to a possible Cloverfield sequel I can't find it now so perhaps that was decided against?

When I watched the movie I got a headache and became nauseated. It was not a good feeling. :imd: I probably would have liked it a bit more if it wasn't for that though.

I purposely watched toward the ending. I didn't really like the ending, so I decided not to watch the whole movie, such a waste :sigh:.

The shaky camera works sometimes, like if they had a newscaster showing the film, but for the whole film, I'd get tired and annoyed. Anyone know for sure if MUCC's song was played?

Zetsubou-san

lol why would they have MUCC's song on it???

i watched it and didn't recognize any songs.

anyways the movie is centered around the journey... not necessarily a story that just leads to a dramatic ending.
