Wich is better? FF X or FF XII?

I personaly think FF X is better, becouse XII...well...I dunno, turn base RPG is more my style I think ^^;;

Story, X.(XII's characters didn't develop well)
Gameplay, XII.(X, had turn base...not active with atb like the rest of the FFs. XII you could see your enemies approach you)
Graphics, X.(XII wasn't too flashy. Some of the areas were kinda weird)
Fun Factor, XII.(X had too many tedious sidequests)
Non-Tediousness, X.(XII had that Zodiac Spear...which you only knew about if you read the guide or had help. You opened one treasure you weren't supposed to, no Zodiac Spear for you! How would anyone know without a guide?)

In the end, I'd go XII. But, I'd never consider playing through either again due to how long they are and how much other crap goes along with it(sidequests) I liked the new feel of XII's battle system. Seeing enemies before they attack and what they are using.

I think FFXII is the best FF around, while FFX is the worse, so it's clear for me lol

FFXII is bassically a offline gameplay of the ffxi XD i loved FFXII even to some of the side quests(hunts) are extremelly hard even with zodiac spear.

The sidequests are only hard in XII if you're under leveled...or just can't handle the battle system... I'm not even lv 80 yet, and I only have the Yaizamat hunt left. I can even hold my own against him...that's even funnier.

X has the sphere grid, which I believe is way harder to deal with. The battle arena is way harder than anything in XII, even with everything done, including filling in every empty node and luck node with something else, like something more useful.

If you like X's battle system, and don't mind leveling up a lot, try something like either Disgaea or Phantom Brave...

I like ATB and XII has a more realistic enemy encounters.

FFXII for the graphics

FFX for the story, I just thing FFXII story line a little bit complicated with less romance.

FFX for the battle system, whatever peoples say, I still like old time ATB system rather than semi online game battle system that FFXII use.

My preference lies with FFX, mostly due to the romance (yes I'm a romantic, and a hopeless one at that) and just because I had a bit of a hard time adjusting to FFXII's battle system. They did some great things with XII but sometimes you just wanna stick to the basics. NOTHING beats FFIII/VI IMO (III and VI are the same game for those who might not know, just a remake, at least for us North Americans anyway, I believe III in Jap was perhaps different?).

I agree its a preference thing, I must say that I loved X because of its impact on my life (lol first time I saw the greatness of Final Fantasy..I lived a sheltered life)
but the graphics on XII blew me away. I would say i prefer XII more but X is right behind it.

well i like both
they both have a great story line and i love the characters :D the new style of fighting is hardto get use to the feel at first but you'd love it
but i'm currently haven't beaten FF12

nope doesn't get better... coz of the battle system its way to easy to level up

I think FFXII was the better game, but FFX brings up more nostalgia for me, just because it was the first one with voice acting and everything - I'm sure as time goes on, I'll like XII more though <_<

I found FFX perfect as it was, especially back then when it was one of the first games on the PS2 console. It was every bit as good as I expected it to be, and is my favorite FF.

I prefer FF-X, mainly because I like playing blitzball xD, and Auron is one of my favorite characters in the FF series, But then what I like about FF XII is that it has a lot of its cutscenes in the really good graphics, and that when your 3 party member dies the game isn't over you still use those reserve people.

Both games are good but in the end FFX > FF XII

I like X characters better than XII, but excluding the summons.. everything else from XII was more fun to do (specially exploring the world).

Some battles were kinda pointless though.. I had setup the party, start combat and go out to buy bread or something, come back home and watch TV til the battle was over, had to check every now and then just to ressurect party leader.. but its still better than fighting Penance :P

Choosing one is tough, but I will go with XII, mainly because X storyline was very depressing at times while XII wasn't and also Balthier had IMO a very funny personality ;D
