Bypass Megaupload download toolbar, Workaround for IE6 or IE7

Start–>Run–>Regedit–>OK

In Registry Editor window:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Mcft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Internet Settings\5.0\User Agent\Post Platform]

Right click Post Platform–>New–>String Value–> Type “Alexa Toolbar"=""

Restart PC. Done!

Note: For IE 7.0 the “Post Platform” will located at:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Mcft\Windows\CurrentVe rsion\Internet Settings\User Agent\Post Platform]

I believe that should work for Maxthon and Avnvant Browsers as well since they have pretty much the same reg. But Fire fox users can get an add on called User Agent switcher or so I hear I haven't tired it myself so use at your own risk. ^^ <.< and I don't know if this is the right place for it ^^

A long while ago like march I believe they came up with a way to bypass megaupload using this trick or so they say. Myself I never did it so I wouldnt know. lol

You know that you dont need these kinds of workarounds if you have a dynamic ip and a router right? Megaupload checks to see how much you downloaded by your IP. Just tell your router to Release and then Renew the IP, and you can bypass the megaupload limits.

AND clrear your coockies and cache too, but sometimes your ISP refuses to change you IP even if you release XD

That hack only works when your country has all the download slot filled. Nothing to do with premium hacks.

ok when you start it you will see in your right the "+" in green
just put the link in that spece before it and click it
or if you have multiple links just go to the Links tab and select the option you want

Firefox user have 4 way to bypass it.
1st install megaupload toolbar from Megaupload
2nd instal this add on from [Only registered and activated users can see links]
3th install greasemonkey from [Only registered and activated users can see links] then go to this adress and install this UserScript [Only registered and activated users can see links]
4th type about:config at address bar then in front of the filter type general.useragent.extra.firefox > Double click it > type "Firefox/2.0 MEGAUPLOAD 1.0" or "Firefox/2.0 MEGAUPLOAD 2.0"without qoutation >ok

there is another way that wont work in some countries

Install "User Agent Switcher" extension in your firefox browser using the following location.[Only registered and activated users can see links]


Then add a new user agent as given below.Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; SV1; Alexa Toolbar)


Now change your user agent to the above mentioned one.
Now open the megaupload link and download without any trouble.

and wont forget the first time after installing above hacks it won't work just close the mehaupload windows and try again from now it work smoothly.

This would normally work, because with that regkey, megaupload, will think your computer has their toolbar installed (and yes the megaupload toolbar is same as alexa toolbar)

It no longer works; Just use Firefox + Megaupload SX for v2.0 or Megaupload Integration for v3.0

Um a friend of mine told me that all you have to do is:
Install the MU toolbar. Perform a anti-virus scan, cuz the toolbar is really a trojan virus & just keep the megaupload cookie in your cookie folder allowing downloading from MU website without the toolbar. Messing with your reg editor could be dangerous cuz if you mess up, your browser is dead. Hope that helps.
