Teachers are getting creepier every day.

NEW DELHI (Reuters) - A seven-year-old girl was made to strip naked by her teacher in a New Delhi school for not completing her homework, a police spokesman said on Sunday.

The minor was made to strip completely naked and stand on a desk in her class on Friday while other students were asked to boo her, the officer said.

"The teacher was arrested on a complaint by the parents but she has been released as it was a bailable offence," Rajan Bhagat told Reuters over the telephone.

"This is barbaric," Shanta Sinha, head of the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights, said in a newspaper report. "No one has the right to outrage the modesty of a child."

The commission had issued a directive this year barring schools from calling students "stupid" or "mindless".

A government study backed by the United Nations Children's Fund said earlier this year two-thirds of children in India are physically abused, mostly at home and in schools.

That's rather pathetic of the teacher though. I couldn't care less if I was boo'ed by the class, they would more then likely laugh with me after class anyway.

what is the world coming to when you cant trust the teachers that are suppose to be supplying todays youth with the means for a better education? its sickening. i dont have a daughter nor do i ever intend on having children, but my youngest sister just turned 8yrs last month and if i ever found out something like that has happened to her...you can bet ill be going to prison for murder.

We shouldn't need to worry when sending a children to school. Every school must be safety because parents have confidence in the school security. This is really cruel for that poor girl, this kind of things should never happen...

I am surprised no one in the class did anything about it. If this is in a third world country, then I don't know but in society where kids are well educated and morally well mannered they would have knew better than to just sit there and do nothing. If I was a student in that time it was happening I would've at least beat the teacher, even if I'd lose still I fought for my own moral and surely the Justice system will side with me.

What a dumb teacher.. the worst I ever got in Primary School (first school after kindergarten for you Americans). Was some really hard poking in the chest, the worst gave me a bruise but then my dad just poked him back which caused him to go threw a door... *rolls eyes*

This is what happen when a would be teacher failed to understand the responsibility and the true job of being a teacher. They should know that a teacher is like a second parent to school children. Give a proper lesson and teach them about life. But, nowadays even parents can't be trusted!

The more I see of this stuff... then more I wonder if police acadamies shouldn't send one training student over to a classroom everyday for surveillance and training. They can inform the teacher if they catch a student cheating, and it would deter not only shootings in schools, but theft as well. Truth be told, I think even just sending a training officer from class to class once a day in general, not even to stay (randomly mind you) would help some.

i think there should be a lots more resurch done before someone can become a teacher. they should be screening test done on them every month or few months.
