How do you guys focus on Study/Memorize?

Eh I pretty much read or skim threw it over and over. . . yes my head is very bad LMAO it blows i either forget the next day or i try focus then the next thing you know i'm doing something else dang :( u have any better methods? haha

lol when i was in school, if i needed to memorize certain numbers i remembered the Pokémon names that go with that number, lol.
I was still in school, that was like 6-7 years ago for me, lol.

At that time there were only 251 pokemon, so if i needed to kow an answer that for a question that was in between 1 - 251, all i did was remember the pokémon's name, and poof there was the number answer also, lol.

I use to play The TCG a lot back then, so I kind of had them all memorized by name and numbers, lol.

now there are 493 Different Pokémon, so even more of a broad horizon, lol

like 1337 would be "Weedle Vulpix" they are #13 and #37,
or "Eevee Squirtle" which would be #133 and #7
or since there is "Bulbasaur Regirock" as in #1, and #337

I'm not much of a Pokémon fan anymore so, i really don't use this meathod anymore, lol, I just looked up the Names/Numbers on Wikipedia lol

i usually underline/highlight important keywords.
if its definitions your studying for, you could use flash cards or something.
another thing i would do was re copy my notes so that it would stay in my mind until the next day because i can forget things easily when it comes down to school work x_x

Well its hard to say since everyone has there own way of learning. But for me it helps if I read it and write what i need to know down. Then after wards I have a rough idea of what I need to recall or what i thought was valuable info. So then I had something to read while I was going to class or had some free time on the side. Time is the key. You tend to learn more when you claimed relaxed and not trying to cram. Well thats me anyways. lol Good luck on your stuff man!

first of all, I wake up early.. real early, like 4-5 am... when you wake up that early, you'll have nothing other than to sit your ass down and study... and it's quite effective, when your brain is all resh and ready to learn, at early horus of the day.

for memorizing, gosh, so not my thing. I forget things in few seconds..
still, what I do is, take notes... study the topic, then take notes of what I remember. then read again, and see if I missed any points.

First of all, write down all definitions and learn them by heart. If you get a question "what is ... " and you can't answer it, don't expect to get much.

Then, you have to learn how things are related, like "verbs can be transitive, intransitive and detransitive".

Last thing is to learn why things are different, for example "compare dialect with accent". If you learned definitions by heart (#1), that should be easy.



If you can't remember something, just write it down few times.

Always, and I mean ALWAYS skim through your notes when the lectures/lessons are over, especially just before going to bed. That helps a LOT. 10 minutes of skimming every day can save your ass from a big pinch~

Oh, and last thing - don't do many things at once, liek watching TV, studying and playing your MP3 player at the same time. You'll spend much more time. Try to concentrate on studies... and studying in the early morning is really good.

Yups... I also used to study in the early morning. And I need some silent space to study.
