Bleach Fans? .... Why?

Why does everyone like bleach... I've never watched it... everyone says its so good. Can an Anime even be THAT GOOD.. ? I've read reviews and I think it sounds quite boring but everyone is obsessing over it...

So if your a bleach fan... why ?
I think its got too many episodes for a start.

to me,Bleach is a great anime,it's fun,full of action and many more,

Well I watched Rozen Maiden up to when it was Cut and I loved it!
I also watched Code Geass which was amazing! I never thought I would like "Gundam" type anime's but that was great I'd recommend that to everyone.

Your correct about reviews they always must point out good and bad things. I just don't understand the plot really, it seems pointless. Where as Code Geass and Rozen Maiden had an amazing storyline :D

Bleach doesn't just have great action but it also has great comedy. When you get animes like that, it's just an awesome mix. The story was very interesting and only gets better until you reach fillers which would make any anime suck until they're done. But it's still personal preference and you can also ask why people like naruto etc...

Bleach just kinda falls into the style of Anime I like to watch. It has good fights, good strong main character, comedy, some down time, and the will to go on.

Ok, some of that was kind of lame, but still it is something I like and the story is something I think is what keeps me into most anime. With that said, if the ending sucks, it can ruin the whole anime for me.

One last thing, watch it for yourself if you have the time and see what you think.

I will say that Bleach was very good in the manga or anime in the first arc. It has gone seriously downhill sort of like Naruto. The new characters lack originality and the "powers" of these characters are completely cliche. The plot is basically the same as the first arc. The motivation for the characters to do what they are doing now is completely lame and totally forced. Overall, an anime like Kenshin was far superior.

Oh.. and yes, I am up to date on the manga but at this point I am very disappointed at how the manga artist has obviously run out of ideas. :( I seriously need a good anime to get into since I just finished Yakitate.

i like the show cause it is fun. reviews are ok but you really need to watch the first couple of episodes first and decide if you like it or not. that is how i watch anime. if i find some new anime or if someone says to watch one i'll give it a try to find out. and a lot of it depends on your tastes.

well, just try watching the first episode. . .it's kind of catchy and as the story unfolds there are many twist to the story which make it exciting and out of this world hehe XD

I've seen the first two episodes after a friend kept bugging me about it and to be honest....I didn't like it. I thought that the intro was cool though.

You know, the real reason bleach is so popular might have to do with the fact that its a long running action series. If the series were shorter, it wouldn't get the same kind of hype. Being aired on cable and television in some countries might also have something to do with it, I mean, look at Pokemon.

Ehhh, Bleach isn't my favorite, but it's decent. The only problem is that it's extremely long, and goes nowhere fast, kind of like Naruto. So, think Naruto with more death, spirits, and swords, and less ninja and random flashbacks everywhere. >.>

Bleach was one of my favourites back in the day, but not anymore now that I've been exposed to a larger variety of animes. I have watched alot of different animes since then and bleach have fallen into the category of just watching it since you started sort of thing. I did like it until the fillers though, but manga (I'm sure a lot of you would agree) is much better.

I don't do spoilers of course since that's evil. This is after all my opinion...

Its got soo many episodes though... seriously you all watched that many episodes right to the last one... that would take me days. I could watch 3 animes in that time that it takes to watch one.

It took me a while to get into this show. But what I really like about it is the characters, and how there's a pretty big group of them. In most of the long running shows you have your small group of good guys and bad guys and that's it, but I find well Bleach has it's main group, there's also a large cast of supporting characters that get their share of air time.

That and I like the nice mix of action and comedy. It is quite a long show, I haven't watched the last 3 or 4 episodes, but the manga is great for me.

I think most people that love Bleach, love it for the first five to eight episodes, where it has that... flair that's different from all the other shounen anime out there. As it progressed though, it feels like it's gone back to the stereotypical teenage brawler with an expanded cast and better character development than most. I still watch it though, just because I want to see the Vaizards come out and fight -_-

It ranks up their with the critics review of Pirates of the Carribean. They said it was awful and it got bad ratings. Nonetheless, in the box office it made millions (if not a billlion by now). You can't go by what the critics say. You have to be your own critic.

As for Bleach, I enjoy the series and I am one of those obsessed fans. It's a comedy and action series. It has a little of everything for everyone. It isn't whiny like some series that I have found. The characters grow on you fast, regardless of their personality. It does have a plot and a good story line as well. I admit I don't like the length of the series either, but if it sells well in Japan, they will make more episodes in order to supply the demands of their audience. That is just typical business. They make what sells.

As for me, I like it because the story is good, the fights are good and the characters are amazing. The Shikai en Bankai system is also awesome, which I think is original. There is also a small comedy in it. For example, when it's very serious in a scene, then they will throw a comedy scene into it, awesome!

Agreed, they are not developing on character relationship as they did with the soul society arc, they seem to be sacrificing character relationships for dragon ball z style fight scenes which in my oppinion may ruin the anime in a later stage, but i was glad to watch a good anime up until that bounto filler arc...

Personally I enjoy Bleach, not to the extent I really love it. But to an extent it's decent and entertaining since I like those "Brawler" type of animes.

The plot for a start is fairly unique (imo), but it's not like people cannot compare certain things within this creation to the likes of DBZ etc (Soul Society comparing it to the dimension of the deads etc in DBZ, King Kai). But however, how their powers work and MANY demons being involved in Bleach is very addicting and interesting!

So far events in Bleach (I read mostly the manga) seems somewhat repeating itself and I don't in particularily enjoy it. However, the power ups, special moves, evolutions, and characters are worth watching^^

The first 10 ep's (I think) is probably enjoyable to watch and you'll like it, after that it starts to look a bit like Dragon Ball. But the characters are enjoyable! And the humour always hit the right spot!

Definitely should try it out and come back to tell us who is your favourite character =)

so naruto, im a fan of every good anime, even bleach has its good moments, and also its bad, at first is REALLY boring, but then it turns out interesting...

Bleach has its good moments and bad. To say that it is always amazing would be wrong. But I do enjoy the few times when the writers really throw an amazing twist in there. Like the end of the assault on Soul Society in the early days. Man I did not see that coming (no spoilers here just in case). But the issue I have is all the filler. We have a lengthy shot of Ichigo's face here another of Rukia, and then top it all off with a check in on Renji. Finally a sword is drawn and they spend ten minutes talking things over. It takes me back to DBZ when the Namek was going to blow up in 5 minutes for 8 episodes. Suffice to say it has an intriguing storyline, but you can really tell when the writing staff is searching for where to go next. So good and bad points overall.

Final Conclusion: It's worth a look.

The series is pretty good overall if you enjoy the action and fighting genres.

The only issues that i had with it was that the plots tend to use the same formulas.

Oh, and I would advise skipping all filler episodes and arcs, unless you feel the need to watch every episode. They are pretty awful.

Because the Soul Society arc kicked ***! If you watch it only until that ends, I think it would be worth it alone. I really enjoy Bleach and have come to really root/like most of the characters. It's definitely has it's bad episodes -- mostly due to the filler stuff necessary to keep from out-pacing the manga, but a lot of anime goes through that. If fantasy with fighting is your thing trying out Bleach seems a good suggestion. If you don't like it... eh ::shrugs::

Well, I watch Bleach because the storyline has been awesome since the first episode except for the fillers that are starting to get bothersome. I think it's the combination of comedy and seriousness that keeps those who like it coming back for more, however, the problem with animes that start off too good is that they usually end up going downhill after a while. Anyway, if that does happen I'll stick with it 'til the end like a good hardcore fan.

yea bleach was very good for a while iv stopped watching it now for a month or so (personally i hate watching 1 ep and having to wait a full week for the next one so i take breaks often) but like most anime that are longer they tend to repeat them selfs and lose alot of what made them so great to began with

Bleach is a great anime because in contrast to other animes like Naruto and DBZ and didn't sell out it's character. It's still funny, has great battles and quite the deep characters (it's not monster or anything but still) while Naruto lost it's sense of humor and just drags itself even though the manga is light years ahead as did DBZ. Bleach on the other hand is just a few episodes behind the manga.

Well, the trick for liking Bleach is to drop out after the soul society arc flashback episode and pay no mind to the hollow mask thing. It's an awesome anime up until that exact point. You will have to deal with not knowing about some loose ends, but you also don't have to endure even more talking stuffed animals and fart jokes.

Bleach is great for those who love action. Drama is decent, fighting is detailed, everything about is overall little better.
i could go on for hours ( sadly i couldn't do the same with naruto. sakura really gets on my nerves.)

If you ask me its great at least in those few ep where something happens to the story, like important fight or meeting or some info, i don't mean all info since you have to watch it from 1 to the end... some ppl said that's even the filler arch was good.
