I love .hack series (I only play GU series, though), the games are great!!!
I like how cool the chara are (I love Xth-form), the story, and also the theme songs, ahh I like listening to them!
FF series... also great. But, the only FF games I ever finished is FF 9. The series just... too much for me.

Final Fantasy...
.Hack// can't keep my interest and it's hard to pick up after you sit it down. So, it has low replay value(mind you, I talking about the first set of .Hack, Infection-Quarantine)

Final Fantasy, I usually love. So far, 1, 6(3), 7(4), 8, 9, 10, Tactics(2), and working on 12 and Crystal Chronicles. The ()= how many times beaten(beginning to end) Some of the FFs were unappealing to me though...2-5, and 11. Plus, none of the games are intertwined except 7 with Tactics and Dirge of Cerberus and 12 with Remnant Wings(I think)

.hack, becouse the fights and fantasy style game play are just beyond awsome! Finaly Fantasy is starting to get old....I mean FF XII was great and all but...come on man, its getting a bit old...

i think .hack is better...is there any final fantasy games that could reach until lvl150? the equipment is great especially the Dual Guns and Scythe(my Favorite weapon in GU) and there are so many character in the game

i'd go for .hack too ever since final fantasy made it to X-2 I kind of stop playing it, don't know the reason but I kind of like its not the old final fantasy series anymore, like with cloud, squall and zidane it kinda get you hooked to them. Though the .hack series are kind of repetitive I find the story kind of intriguing, especially .hack//G.U., full change in gameplay and lots of new things every volume. :em096:

Final Fantasy, hands down one of the strongest RPG franchises out there. I like it because the stories are always intriguing, they got cool characters, and every game is high quality.

.hack I really didn't like because of the fake MMORPG stuff. I played through the first few hours and going through the dungeon and learning the ropes, and I didn't like it. Even after your buddy dies and you get the book or whatever it was, I was like, eh.

But thats just me. Oh, and the anime that came along with it also blew.:relax:

if u rly want to compare them then u have to look at all .hack games but from the opinions posted it sounds like most only played gu for me ff is the better one when u see all game coz the first 4 hack games rly sucked ...paying 40€ for each game and finish it in 10-15 h thats way too low ...

I believe that the story of Final Fantasy, all parts that I've played (6, 7, 8, 9, 10) are superior compared to .hack//. The gameplay of .hack// is by far better though. It's not just selecting and clicking.

The plot of .hack// is really nice, too. Not as good as the FF games but still nice so my vote goes to .hack//.

Certainly Final Fantasy. All of the games have an incredible storyline, the greatest characters i have seen in any videogame(anyone who played FF VII, VIII,IX and X knows what i'm talking about even though the most retro sequels are really good, these 4 games break have the top scorers, my opinion), a various choice of stylish weapons, even airships(RAGNAROK RULES!!! in FF VIII) and the sound track... that is why i most hate the new square-enix :P with that stupid action Nobuo Uematsu was replaced by some other dude... we can see by the pop-like music in FF X2... Comparing all of X2 sound track to only one song of the older games it competely sucks...
Well wathever, this is just a little of all i have to say about FF.. It's my favourite saga right after KINGDOM HEARTS!!!!!!!!!!

I like both, but .hack is more involved since it has a realtime battle system that forces you to pay attention to everything going on. FF is more relaxed. And don't come tell me that FF12 has a realtime battle system, it's still turn-based, but looks realtime.

Try kingdom hearts as well for realtime.
