So I've torn through Resonance of Fate. I've clocked 80 hours into the game, I've beaten it, cleared the arena, bonus level, and started a new game+. I'm missing three trophies + the platinum. I'm debating selling this game back to get Fallout 3, but I kind of want to platinum it since it was such a great game, it would make a nice first platinum; however, the plat will take another 20 hours or so to get. I've already put my time into the game, obviously, and to be honest, I'm getting a little worn on it. What do you all think? Is it worth keeping a game at this point just for four trophies?

Well if it was some other game ok... I myself spend well over 100 hours to platinize Yakuza 3. But ROF isnt worth the trouble IMO

if you think 80+ hours is hard, try so4: the last hope. i had 800+ hours in that game, and i`m still missing around 30 battle trophies.

Things like this are ridiculous -.- Why the hell would I invest so much time in a RPG? I mean I had 300+ hours when I finally finished P3 (several play throughs) and most Final Fantasy's burned away 100+ hours of my time. But spending 400h and more just to hunt trophies? No thx :P

I do own SO4, but I am not attempting to platinize it ^^

I have it as well. I had it for 360 back when I owned one, and I know it won't kill me to get all of the trophies aside from the battle trophies, I'll just try to milk it, but I know very well that I will not plat SO4. I feel accomplished just by getting full-active mode on SO3. (full active wasn't all that great either)

Keep it, lol, I'm doing the same thing with the same game, I'm only missing to Star every battle in the arena (Yes, 500 battles), I have 72 hours playing (beat the game twice on the same file, and got all the trophies except for the arena star one). It takes around 3 minutes per fight (if you do a tri-attack), so, go for it, just invest 2 hours per day and you will have it fast (I currently have 23/50 stars on the arena).

If you really like the game, then yeah it is definitely worth keeping if you are trying to get the platinum.

normally, trophies are only time cosuming & not difficult except for a few such as SSFIV,mirror edge etc..those trophies maniac are often stated as ''No Life'' for most

Just be weary though. Sometimes I'll sell a game and years later cravings to play it start burning a hole in my head. However if you're playing a game for hundreds hours for just one trophy, selling it really depends on certain circumstances: is the trophy really difficult to get and requires a lot of practice? or is the trophy not difficult just obscenely time consuming? If it's a really difficult trophy, try not to sell until you've got the trophy. That way you have an excuse for wasting hours of your life you'll never get back and you get to show it off to others. Case in point: the Wipeout HD platinum, (frequently considered one of the most difficult in the entire PS3 library) it took me forever to get that b****h, but it was worth it. XD

Yes, this is pretty true as it is for example influenced me that I try to do things, what normally I donīt do. Trophies help really take off the joys of the game. :9

Well if u ask me i'd say keep it. Not for platinize it or for trophies. I'm kinda obsessed collecting things o.O if i were u. . well im gonna buy RoF too and i'll definitely keep it. Think ur games as children of urs. Would u just toss them back to where they come ? =D

for keeping a game i think it depends if the trophies are online trophies or not.
i personaly hate online trophies
but if you spend so many hours into a game so far why sell it?

You seem to enjoy the game and you've spend like 80 hours already, wow
So why sell it? It'll be such an achievement for you since you like the game. It'll all go to waste once you sell it.
Some find it amusing to complete 100% in collecting trophies for the games they love, it can be sometimes a little dragging but it's up to you.

Actually Yeah. In RPG games such as Cross Edge and Record of Agarest War, trophies in RPG's like this proves Your Patience, and Great Amount of time you put it. Sure it is long, but the game is intresting. On one of my accoutns I have the Cross Edge Platinum >.> (http://www.gamestop.com/Catalog/ProductDetails.aspx?product_id=78584)
