i think it might be caskas kid the one that we last saw going up the giant hand when the god hand was summoned last .
and besides is that a mixture of gutts caska and griffith's kid?

For the kid's question: the kid is named "Sahajin" in the manga, and he's some kind of spirit that have the power of take care of Guts's cursed armour. If this kid is the son of Guts and Caska, from where he came from? He didn't die for give a material form to Griffith's body?

Im confused. Isnt Gutz and Caskas kid that deformed baby that occasionally shows up crawling around and staring at Gutz before disappearing? I dont recall that baby having any special powers except making Gutz bleed from his special wound and then disappearing.

And to ryoga83, I believe that Caska was pregnant before being raped by the special form of Griffith and was therefore corrupted. I dont remember exactly when he was born but I remember Caska trying to protect it from Gutz who was repulsed by it.

As I understood, the deformed child is the son of caska & gutts, who became griffith on the day of the eclipseusing the behelit-like creature, as fo the other kid, he DOES resemble gutts & Caska, so i'm guessing he's some kinda spirit or something of what could've been their son :)

kelisis i agree.cause caska and guts had sex then about 3 weeks later they rescued griffith and the eclipse happened then she was raped.then a few days later she gave birth to the baby and it wasnt completely developed. so it seems like a mix of guts caska and griffiths kid.and we cant be completely sure that when it was looking deformed it become griffiths new body all we saw was it climbing to the top and egg becoming the new body no idea if the baby escaped or not.and the kid that caska was holding could actually be the baby but in a human form.because the demons can transform to a human state than the demon state

also notice how the baby would develop alot too through out the story. guts seeing it and it looked bigger each time, while it seems like it has no powers at all it still would protect caska from demons on a few occasions when she was attacked

You could try reading the manga again instead of making weird deductions. The skull knight actually tells guts the moment the baby was borned from Caska (no long after he saves them from the feast) that it was his own child corrupted by Griffith, and it also tells them that it would go after them when it gets older. That's when Caska protects him from Guts and it escapes.

I totally love this manga. I first watched the anime and I really liked, and I never expected the manga to even have a lot better story than the anime itself. This last arc is amazing, and I really like all the members of the group (especially Farneze which I love and the fairies that totally rock).

Only bad thing about this manga is the day when you finish reading it and have to wait weeks for a new chapter to be released.

If anyone really wants to know what happened to "deformed baby" that Human-Behelit swallowed it and hatched Griffith's "human" form.

If anything Griffith and the baby are the same being. Only time will tell.

A great manga. I'm collecting the Japanese version (for myself) and the English release (to share with friends) at the same time ^^;

One of the few manga out there that has actually given me nightmares. I wish they'd do another anime series.

I really wonder if this series has any chance of a happy ending...

It's my first manga. I firstly watched the anime and it was great. The manga is even better since it continues the story. Currently, it's on ch 294. I can't wait to read the new ones when they come out soon. Hopefully soon. :41:

In reference to what Bakanekokun said, the aspects of the manga that I like best are the hidding meanings and the inspiring will power of gutts (similar to the incredible perserverence of for example Naruto).
To me Berserk shows a lot of the darker aspects that I see as being very human (like all the sexual violence). Berserk may be fiction but that shit really happens, even today (Africa for example).
For me I see alot of meaning and depth in the storyline and the things that the manga portrays.
Of course the characters are also great as well as the action scenes (which are incredible). But I personally draw a lot from the way the author addresses real issues in this fiction (war, religion, etc.)

I realize what I just said is probably far from most Berserk fans and that's fine. I just tried to explain my attraction and my commitment to the series.

I dont care why others like it, but I was just mesmerized after the first chapter and read all the way thru about 290 chapters in a day and its torture waiting for each new chapter. Im dealing better with it now tho

for me....... i think i'll stick to my laughable mangas out there >.<

tho i watched the anime... it was alrite... up to the eclipse... Alt+F4ed at the rape scene... couldnt take it any moar >.<

Berserk is an awesome manga. everything from character to plot is just amazing. unfortunately the downfall is that it takes too long to update. with quality that good, i'd understand though.

i love the manga deffinately an improvement to the anime, i just wish there were more situations where guts would kill some super evil demon or win a fight and actually feal like he won. i mean i keep getting hopelashed with this series, with the hawks being raised to glory and awesomeness only to be slaughtered/betrayed/ sacrificed. is there ever going to be a winning situation!?!?!:dark:

The most recently released and translated chapter is 301 and the most recent chapters are epic.

I absolutely love this story and manga. It's the only manga I've ever found that was actually worth reading. I'm totally desensitized to the violence. Just remember it isn't real.

Gutts is just the coolest guy ever.
