Unfortunately, after the first half of the story ended, I could barely bring myself to watch the rest of the episodes. It deteriorated into Mecha Dragon Ball Z

Still, I heartily recommend the series. Good stuff.

It did get a bit much for me near the end, but it did make me crack up so hard at how ridiculous exaggerated and funny it was. I agree the story for the first half was really well done. Gainax did good with Gurren Laggan, but they'll make better.

Yeah, things got kind of absurd after a while (mechas the size of galaxies? -_-;) and the ending was sad. It was still pretty epic though, and is still one of my favorites ^^

I just started to watch this series, I think I'm at episode 4 right now but I give this a :lovelove: it's very funny and entertaining. (highly recommended)

I watched this about 90% subbed (other 10% was dubbed) and OMG this is one of the best series I've ever watched.

Yeah, yeah I love it, the soundtrack is the more exciting than i listened in a while, i love the charachters of Kamina and Kittan.
The second half is a bit bad, plus all you know how it fall into a complete f*ck-space-time-rules mecha anime. Howewer, it's one of my favourite anime
