is it just me or does anyone else having problems with games getting more actioney (yes made up word i know) and making you respond quick a lot or play a bunch of ridiculous mini games.
I know im mad because i have really bad times trying to respond to the games because i cant respond to the quick stuff as much and games with controlable cameras i end up accidently spinning it around so much i wonder how i dont get motion sick.
so just seeing if anyone else misses the old turn based rpg's and stuff

the old way of playing is much better.
and the story in the new games has been kind of bad in the later years.
old games were much more fun too play when it had a good story.
I'd wager to say there were quite a ton of "old" games that were horrible in story (if there was one) and gameplay. At any rate, the mini-game aspect is to break up the monotony of overall gameplay when you have a game that's a bit lengthier and the system being used doesn't really change at all. Take Diablo for example: once you pick a class and get most of the abilities, it's really just the same actions over and over again.
They are a bit of a cheap way of adding variety, and the best games out there don't rely on it to prevent player from getting bored.

games are just getting more and more dificult...and a lot of games are getting lamer and lamer...like NFS pro street? MEGA DISAPOINTMENT!!! NFS UNDERGROUND TWO WAS BETTER THAN THAT!
Most games are getting more interactive, but easier. People don't like extremely hard games for whatever reason. Cameras in these new games are interactive sometimes, and can cause dizziness if you have a hard time with controls. I don't really like all the mini games either, but some of them aren't too bad.
Talking of turn based RPGs, one came out in 2006, called Disgaea 2: Cursed Memories. It's a turn based game, grid based style(like Final Fantasy Tactics or Front Mission) but the story is that of an anime style. The graphics aren't the best, but the game at times is extremely hard, but can be fixed with long hours of leveling up. The game is one of those that you can beat in less than 30 hours. But, to do everything, will take far much longer. Max level is 9999 and you can reincarnate your characters to be buffed up at level 1 to become even stronger.
But, I don't have good eye/hand coordination. Thus, I'm not very good at all the action games, especially first person shooters. I'm mediocre at best. I stick to RPGs mostly...
