I am putting this SB to test if it might slow down the forum or not, if it doesn't then will have it, if it causes database error then i will have to take it down. And you better not spam it with lots of smilies, u will be banned from that shoutbox if you post 5-6 random smilies in a raw

P.S nvm i took smilies out.

After installing it, the forum received more than 20 database error in less then a sec. I don't know what to say but t he only solution is to go on a bigger server, which i currently can't afford right now and I won't put myself threw the stress of paying for high server if i can't have the enough funds for it.

That been said. May be later in the future i could afford, i don't know. I can't do everything by myself

Regards

I think you're paying too much for this server, on the donation thread, you're saying you paid $50/month for the server. I'm not sure how much space they give you, but for 400GB bandwidth is too low for that price.
There's a of host out there that's only $6-$10/month and you get much more.
here is some host.

[Only registered and activated users can see links]
$5.95/month
500GB space
5TB Bandwdith

[Only registered and activated users can see links]
$6.95/month
300GB space
3,000 GB Bandwdith

A good server isn't about lots of space, and and bandwidth, the server i am on give me more than just that. Good customer server and protection 24/7

P.S I am not going to discuss which server is better than the other cause that could go on forever. But thanks for trying to help.

I will test it one more time and see.
P.S if you want to chat you need 30 post to view the Shout box, just make it fair and prevent the high load.

So far after i fixed some stuff, and took some mods we don't really need, the shoutbox does not cause any database error, if you encounter any let me know, but so far so good, the shoutbox will stay for now!

Good thing you took the smilies out, i would not want anyone banned for smileing and the chatbox rock's keep it up forever.

umm, you can try to use a shoutbox similar to the one used in anistash(Animestash.info), I heard it takes little room, and it limits shouts to 60 messages a hour.
