I've found a nice way to listen to and download music online without using software like bearshare or limewire.
Unfortunately it can be be used only in Firefox.

1st : Go to

[Only registered and activated users can see links]
Its an addon for firefox called "Video DownloadHelper"
Download this Addon.
Then Restart Firefox.

2nd : Go to

[Only registered and activated users can see links]
In "Take us for a spin" type the name of the artist or the song you want or both, for example "linkin park runaway"

[Only registered and activated users can see links]

Then a list of Results appears click the 1st result, and when the song starts playing click on the arrow to the right of the Downloadhelper Icon.

Save it to your computer and your done!

It is also a good way to grab flash movies, and other things off sites. :)

What does torrenting have to do with it? This plugin does more than just grab music files. It is also useful for getting flash and other formats from various sites. I use it to snag trailers off the homesites of the games and to snag other things.

The DownloadHelper add-on for firefox basically logs videos request from the Flash video player so that you can download those videos for offline viewing. it's a great way to save videos from YouTube and such.

I disagree that it's an alternative to P2P, though. Videos hosted on web sites tend to be pretty low quality, as they're meant for streaming. On P2P, you usually see high quality encodes -- sometimes outright raws (FLAC, VOB, ISO, etc.).
