View Full Version : A Question About Rep

I'm just curious, what's the reason behind the option to give 0 rep?

Isn't it pretty simple enough to have +rep for something you like and -rep for something you don't like.

This doesn't bother me at all but I just had a '0' rep (I assume it is since the rep square is grey (but correct me if I'm wrong though)), but the person didn't leave a 'thankyou' or 'I don't like your contribution' or anything. I can't tell if he/she/it like the contribution or not.

To me, that rep option doesn't make any sense, so I hoping someone can explain why it is on this forum.

[I'll give a proper +rep to anyone who is kind enough to answer or provide a nice reply after the answer has been given. ;) ]

the user who gave u rep must be having like very little posts and activity on the forum if a guy with low posts like 5-15 gives u rep it will be very lil as that guy doesnt participate alot in the forum........... some ppl may mis-use to increase their reps and all ( there r ppl like that here ) so all new ppl give very lil rep once u start postin or get some reps ur rep power that you give out to other ppl will increase also

This modification is disabled now!
Now ppl with high rep power won't have the chance to abuse giving little or more reps.
