I watched Escaflowne about 7 or 8 months ago, It starts off really slow and boring but it picked up about episode 12 and got really good. If you can deal with the old style graphics (not to say they are bad) then i highly recommend it. =D 8/10

Escaflowne is actually one of the first animes I ever purchased. It was pretty good, though I wasn't a big fan of it. I think I liked the sound track most. >_>

I don't think I could really give it a fair score, as I'm no mecha fan. But if I had to, I would say 6/10.

I saw the Escaflowne series and the movie and I think that they were one of my favourites when it was aired on tv.
Overall, story is ok, battle scenes are the best, char design ticks me off because of the noses but is yet kewl, and background music is epic win.
I feel like Hitomi and Vaan could share a deeper connection on the anime but, guess that's it for them.. blame the mangaka.

Escaflowne is actually a really good series. It was one of the first ones I bought. I wasn't quite sure what to think when I first saw it. It didn't really fit under one specific genre with the robots, romance, drama and all that. The story started off a bit slow but it got better as the it progressed. And plus, the music by Yoko Kanno was superb. I'd give it an 8/10.

The Vision of Escaflowne? Aw, that's a name I haven't heard in years... I watched the series about 7 or 8 years ago when MTV aired it. I loved the series but AFAIK it has never been aired on TV after MTV O.o

Been a long time since I last heard anyone mention Vision of Escaflowne. It was pretty good, though it does sorta slow down after episode 1. Neat story, but in terms of story Neon Genesis Evangelion is the anime to beat.

I remember watching Escaflowne when I was a kid.. It's an oldie but goodie..
I might watch it all over again to see if I only liked it because I was watching it through a child's eyes or if it was actually as good as I remember..
and I'm not a big mecha person.. the only Gundam I could stomach was Gundam Wing..
and that's also because I was a kid when I first watched it..
