Gundam 0079

Personally I think that this is the best gundam series out. It set the tone for all other gundam that were to be. An it stayed interesting till the very end.

Basically most of the Uc series(especially the earlier ones) are the most original and best, the ones after them are generally rip-offs or are uninteresting. my 2 cents.

Is it the first series? I don't think it interesting enough. It was real though, or you can say very close to reality. But it was never interesting to me.

I never got the chance to see this...i did play the PS1 game and the PC game...I think most of the gundam series' main gundam were usually based off the 0079 proto-type..hehehe

I don't know about the best, I think it shows it ages in various places but it is a deserved classic. Especially the movie versions which tone down some of the "mecha of the week" battles and throw in some newer animation.

Mobile Suit Gundam was prob the best series, though the American dub makes me want to cry. I really wish there was a good sub version put out.


With this anime being the originator of the whole Gundam phenomenon, and with it the UC universe being the best story lines.

The dub wasn't bad, Brad Swaile did a good Amuro, Michael Kospa did a good Casval and most of the cast was fine. Assuming we're talking the TV series, the movies had this hilariously bad English dub and I'm pretty sure they hadn't read the script properly when they were writing the dialogue. Though because Tomino said that everyone is speaking English so I tend to at least check out UC gundam dubs.

The 0079 movies come out better than the TV series in many ways though, less mobile armour of the week, better animation and it gets the important parts across nicely.

Though I think Turn A is the best gundam, Syd Mead did a fantastic job on the designs for the series and Yoko Kanno did a fantatic score.

Remake the graphic again? Not so bad for anniversary treat :D Though not going to happen soon since they have new series to work on for the event.

Though if you have only seen the series, look for the compilation movies. I think they're not dubbed, but the graphics are a bit better. Not modern day graphics, but still better,

I think the 08th MS Team is the best of the Gundam series. Realistic and surprisingly emotional... epecially when Shiro's fate was uncertain and Kiki and Michel went searching for him.

It could be said so. It have the first Haro (most funny), the first (also the best) maskman and the first gundam.

u have no idea what ur talking about. they all have great story lines, xcept like 2 series. its all about zeon tho. i think gundam 00 and seed were great cuz the whole addition to tragedy, 00 did it out the ass haha

What kind of tragedy Seed have? In my opinion, it's only tragedy is it's existent so far....

SEED is a tragedy since Kira didn't learn anything at the end, except revert back to his "I don't want to fight, but I have to" in the end XD

Gundam 0079 was a good series. I used to try to get some of my friends to watch this because they liked wing but they couldn't get into 0079 because of the animation.

considering its age the visuals are acceptable I guess and you get used to it after a view eps anyway
despite that it was a very enjoyable watch

oh.. zeons aristocratic system was a bit embarassing
