my SotW enty, wai~~ :em096:
but almost wasn't able to make one, cuz my internet is very screwy right now :1: but thanks to that I had plenty of time making the sig this time >.<
and I kinda like the outcome (although I made it on my new desktop, so don't know yet how it looks on my other desktop and laptop, so it can be to bright -_-' )
anyway, first the picture I used
[Only registered and activated users can see links] ([Only registered and activated users can see links])
got it from Nyaanbooru, but damn, almost got side-tracked when looking for a neko-picture :em0129: well, just shows I'm a healthy boy xD
but thanks to some new textures and brushes I downloaded yesterday it was kinda fun making this one, testing out all the new stuff :em038:
and this came out

now sadly enough the only thing that can't improve is my s*cky text skills :1:
anyway, what do you all think of it? you all like? :wakuwaku:

I like it.
The chosen image was a very nice pick ^.^
The corner of her ear got cut off in the sig, lol but other than that, the text could use some work, the "Kage no Neko" is a lil hard to read in some places.
*Like you said in ur post*
Also I like the name of ur Piece "Kage no Neko
Kage=Shadow
no="Possessive"
Neko=Cat
"Cat's Shadow" ^.^ Nice name ^.^

the name was actually thanks to google xD I already had "no neko" in my mind, but had no idea what to use as the first word, so I just googled "no neko" and found some ideas, then Aki no Neko came and I started thinking and Kage no Neko came out as final xD
but yea, my text is just rubbish, but I just can't seem to get better at xD so I thought as long as Neko is readable it's good enough >.< since it is a Neko-theme this week... but if you read carefully enough the "Kage" is still readable, so the people who're interested enough in the sig will notice is xD
as for the cut-off ear, well, it's really just a background filler, so didn't spend much thought on it, just placed it in a way I thought it looked good xD

well, they're part of the new brushes I downloaded
but I basically started out with a 500x250 window size (the maximum) then I put in the picture.
After that I put in the picture again, but with a little bigger size and cut-off in the background.
Then I made a new layer ontop and filled it with black.
After that I selected the Rounded Rectangle Tool and made a shape, but not over the whole sig, just enough room on the sides and a little above.
Then right-click in the Rounded Shape with the pen-tool, create selection and press delete.
now you can start making your siggy but keep the black layer ontop, so you can see how the sig will eventually look.
when you're done use the eraser tool, pick out a good-looking brush (I used the new ones, used 2 brushes on each side) and press just once, don't use brushes where you need to move around, only use 1-click brushes...
after that if it needs a little bit of fixing just use the brush tool (color black) to fix it.
when you're done ctrl+click the black layer, then press ctrl+shift+i , select a layer under the black layer and hide the black layer (if needed then you can also hide the (white) background layer, then go to Edit > Copy Merged.
now open a new window, if it went right you should see the dimensions of your sig when choosing the new window size, but make the dimension a tiny bit bigger, and then press ctrl+v, unview the background and save it as png :em038:
but I'm guessing you already know this Misuzu xD

no prob ^^
there's also another way but it's basically the same, instead of filling the layer with black just fill the rounded shape with black and use the brush tool to add edges, but it's not a good way to do since you'll need to do it as last or you won't see your signature and because of that you don't really know what your sizes are...

made 2 more sigs, trying to get used to the kind of sig-style I used...
but this time they were made on my normal desktop so they may look totally different xD

was kinda worried about the Deianeira one, since it was so bright on my normal destkop, but the monitor of my new desktop is even brighter, but lucky it didn't changed to much :em038:
