Devil May Cry follows the adventures of Dante and Vergil, the half-demon sons of the legendary demon Sparda, and the events that led to the story in the game.

Anyone has watched the raw to this yet, it's great, can't wait for ppl subbing it. I think there are 12 eps in total.

so far i think the anime has been a let down.
first of all... anything dmc has to have a cool beginning like dmc and dmc3
(dmc2 is dead to me) the beginning for the anime seemed a bit...average...

also dante just doesnt seem as cool in the anime for some reason...

in the anime, Dante was the silent/strong type of guy . . .

and in the games, he was a tough/playfull guy . . .

+ the "action" showed in the first episode didn't look like the game action.

it disappointed me, the first episode of the anime.

I didn't see the subbed episodes yet, but i saw the RAW and i LOVE this anime! >.< It's a shame that Virgil isn't in the anime, because i just LOVE him! >0< It's wonderful!! >0< However, I hope that his assence it's just a false voice.

Its a good anime from what i seen, the first ep wasnt what i had expected but it started to pick up. I did notice a difference in ep 6 the Rock Queen. She is nothing compared the the dmc3 game. I also think that Vergil will not be shown in this anime being that dmc3 ended the way it did. Its a good anime but it seems to be lacking from the game a little. But still worth watching.

I';d say the game is way better than anime.. at least it has its main storyline (so far DMC anime shows only 'random' encounters without any line connecting the episodes)...

Why ps2? You can get the game for PC as well (as I did). Use isohunt.com well~


Oh, and anime isn't connected to games at all (except characters, and only few of them are). I meant that its like collection of episodes without any connection... for example, if you changed episodes 5 and 8, there wouldn't be any difference.

While DMC3 game was a bit repetative (running up and down in the tower), it still had main storyline (stopping evil brother), and I can't say that about DMC anime at all.


I can't say I don't enjoy it... but I expected more after playing the game.

^ I doubt Nero Angelo will be in this. He was already defeated in the game, so the best they can do is probably show flashbacks of him or when he was still Vergil.

Anyway, I've moderately enjoyed the Anime so far, but the battles have been quite simple for Dante. He needs a better challenge. Otherwise, these stand alone episodes will get old quick.

I didn't mind it. I needed an easy going anime to counter Ergo Proxy at the time. GunGrave still gets the best game to anime award in my book.
