A good hint for next time, set the "deadline" twice as long as it is expected to take, so if you finish it in your predicted you get kudos for an "early release" and if you take all the way to the "deadline" you don't get impatient people so much.
Or, go with the "we expect to finish it in 3 weeks but it may take as long as 5" approach. Simply my opinion, I can wait to see the new site, I don't think I will be disappointed.

Hopefully the design should have a trademark NIHONOMARU only use ... you know what I mean right? hehe ... hope there's a dark theme in it fufufu!
