I love Vagabond series. Can't believe I've alredy spent more than $100 on them (in my place they only have the first 10)

I also read the book, and yes, there are some big differences. What I miss in Vagabond is the childish but profound sense of humor present in the book, so typically Japanese. The manga focuses on the dramatic evolution of Musashi trough fighting, but forgets a lot about other aspects of the story. It remains a valid epic tale though, and I can't wait for number 11 to show up on local stores.

It's an awesome manga. Musashi's thoughts just grabs me when I'm reading and I gotta take a moment to reflect on his points. The fact that the violence is so graphic just helps make it more engaging for the reader. I love it.

It's a masterpiece by Takehiko Inoue sensei Indeed.. but.. i dunno why he made Kojirou a deaf and mute person, unlike in the original novel
