Hajime no Ippo

I decided to reread the manga all the way from the beginning again, just to remember why I liked it so much. Even as I read the post WII arc, its still as awesome as the first time I remembered. Anyone have similar thoughts on this?

Re: Hajime no Ippo

This is absolutely the best manga ever in my opinion. I don't think I would reread the whole thing because some parts are just frustrating lol. I do however read certain fights from time to time like Ippo's championship match with Sendou and Aoki's hilarious championship match.

I did the same, I watched all of the anime, and the read the manga from teh beginning, its nuts, and i can't wait till the next chapter. On that note, i'm really surprised hajime no Ippo flopped in the us. Makes me sad.

Yea, it's great, but I actually did the opposite of what you people did. I read the manga and rewatched the anime. Sadly the anime ended so early...

Re: Hajime no Ippo

Yea it ended to early. The only fight i basically reread is the one where he fights an outboxer and totally kicks his ass with his left. He was burried in the corner mat. Must've hurt.

Re: Hajime no Ippo

To me Hajime no Ippo was one of those rare exception where I prefer the anime over the manga. I think it was mainly due to how the fights seen much more "alive" on the animation and that really kept my interest going on all the time. But nevertheless both are GREAT

At first i didn't even want to try reading the manga since the art is so bad, but after getting recommend by a few people i try it. It's absolute amazing, the boxing, the story and the character development, simply amazing. It changes my view on manga.

Re: Hajime no Ippo

This was one of the most under rated manga series ever!!!!!!
How can a manga boxing match be so interesting when the real boxing match is soooooooooooo boring!!!!!
