Story with great characters wanted
Hey, I'm looking for a new shounen story to read. Basically the way it works for me is that if I can care enough about the characters, I'll follow the series forever like the drooling, restraining order-inducing fangirl that I am at heart. (That's what happened when I started reading FullMetal Alchemist...heh.) So I'm looking for a manga with beleivable and developed characters for my summer obsession. Got any suggestions?

There are lots of great characters in most Manga.
If you live in North America, have not yet done so, you may want to get ahold of a copy of Shonen Jump!. This is a monthly magazine which serializes about a dozen Manga. Some are new and some are old. Anyhow, you might see one or two characters you like there.  Pat, the desert rat Member of the Let's Speak Japanese, Nihonomaru, World of Manga, and Knights of the Round clubs.  |

Well, yeah, people usually have many forms for "great characters".
But for me, I would also recommend BLEACH and Fairy Tail, because the characters go through a development. The same thing happens in Katekyo Hitman Reborn, which is a manga you should read! (: It has some wonderful characters and you enjoy seeing them go through a change and seeing the mangaka's art change for the better.  [I'll steal your cookies]
