Hello everyone.
So what do you think ???
I personaly believe that the shoujo section is kinda dead.
Especialy compared to the Yaoi/Yuri section.
Not only are there few manga threads and with few information but there are is also kinda low demand, downloads.
I guess they are not many interested.
P.S. Tell me your opinion also if you have any manga, picture request i will gladly try to grand it.

I've only been lurking a bit so far, but maybe I can provide a bit of speculation?

There's really not that much to talk about shoujo manga anymore, unless it's about some specific manga, and there's probably a club for that. Regarding the yaoi/yuri section, I haven't really looked into that, but I'm guessing it's mainly from it's general popularity, since people now seem to be getting bored with the usual pairings that yaoi and yuri seem to be new alternatives.

This is just my view on things though, don't take it too seriously

Sakura-san don't think of such stuff..it invites all sorts of trouble... Let us raise the ban for shoujo...

i'm not sure too but probably why shoujo isn't so lively is because at times shuojo plots tend to be repitive, and at most the artstyle have become too tedious.I'm not saying all are. I have favorites in the shoujo genre too like Nicky Lee's The ONe, unfortunately still ongoing and THE Bride of Water God which is still ongoing... And of course who could forget S+M and MAison de Beauties, the twists in this series was totally unexpected..it arouses pathos. Most shoujos lacks such twists...and smut is another thing.

But when it comes to yaoi..what could compare to a free for all NO CENSURESHIP take a look at those hot sweaty bodies doing the tango on bed(somtimes there are no beds, any flat surface will do)..Also yaoi forums have commentators who later wage an all out heated debate which is probably why the yaoi section is BURNING...

It's dead...definitly dead...and I don't know the reason...and it is the section I enter most often.
I kinda thought, that most people here are interested in yaoi and shounen more then in shoujo...sorry, realy can't think of a reason for the few visitors here *sigh*

I find many twists in Shoujo manga...I could never say what will happen in Kaichou wa maid-sama for example...well, there aren't many like that, but...there is shoujo with not much censure...I think o.O.

Well i mean and that the shoujo manga treads are not movind that much.
I mean yaoi/yuri has almost every day new entries or new chapters.
In the shoujo manga there are for example manga that even though they have finished their threads do not have all the chapters or volumes because they have not been updated in ages.

Well, being a yaoi lover and love a good shoujo manga, I guess it's the lack of variety in shoujo manga that yaoi manga has. Like glitrzck said, shoujo manga is kinda getting too generic. You can almost predict how the story line goes. Since Fruit basket, i have to say, it's hard for me to find shoujo manga i like that have the same quality as this.

Shoujo manga doesn't necessarily have to be triangle love, or unrequited love story. Like fruit basket and skip beat, it can be about human relationship in nature (Fruit basket) or self-search (Skip beat) and the main characters slowly finds love along the way.

yes, I know shounen and yaoi/yuri have the same thing. But with shounen, the issue of love is barely touched in them and for yaoi... well, we all know why it's yaoi and not shoujo. XD

Mangas like I previously mentioned, Tokyo Crazy paradise, Ouran high school host club, lovely complex, penguin revolution, and mekakushi are some (in my opinion) good non-generic shoujo mangas.

Aaaah, I wish i can find more Shoujo like this. *sigh*

'special' thg attracts ppl more... like yuri and yaoi.... shoujo romance is almost the same and predictable... mayb that's the reason... but i like ouran and kaichou wa maid sama a lot!
