Summary
Adaptation of the manga by Sakurako Gokurakuin serialized in Young Gangan.
Minato is a total loser. He’s failed to make it into college twice, he’s unpopular with women, and he’s unemployed. But suddenly one day he met a girl dashing inhumanely fast down the road he walked, chased by 2 bandits with electrical powers. From that day on Minato’s life changed forever. The Girl, Musubi was not any ordinary girl she was a “Sekirei”, and suddenly she just bestows Minato with the power of an Ashikabi, one of a mysterious set of “masters” in an awesome battle royale between hordes of cute girls (and males) with individual special powers called “Sekirei’s”. Eventually Minato’s true capabilities will release his useless self into truly understanding all of the Sekirei’s that he embarks to gather, and his own strength. (ANN)
Thoughts
Calawain: The manga this is based on is really fun to read. I watch/read a lot of fanservice/ecchi shows/manga but I only really enjoy those with something that hooks me. This is definitely one of them as it’s just a fun ride that doesn’t take itself seriously. Plus you’ve got a great and totally devoted harem consisting of a loli, an airhead, a tsundere, and a megane genius. I’ve got confidence in this one, because I know Seven Arcs can do hot chicks by their previous works.
Impz: I went to the site quickly and found fanservice everywhere. No for me. Everyone has mega huge boobs too. I like DFC, thank you.
Riex: I’m definitely watching this, but unlike Calawain, it’s in the hope that maybe there will be some sweet fight scenes…otherwise, props to the show for having chicks with actual racks, but I’ll go look elsewhere.
Shokkeru: Sounds like a premise that has been beaten with a stick way too many times. But hey, if it works it works.
Briar: What’s with the breasts? And the word “masters” immediately turned me off.
Extrange: Sure it has boobs and fighting, but unlike Ikkitousen, it tries to have a decent plot and it’s actually a good one. Although the words “Pokemon Harem” will cross your mind. Also, because I’m a sadist mofo, let me tell you this: TRAP ALERT. Fapping potential: 5/5
Crusader: I heard the words pokemon and harem…and the premise sounds all too familiar. I don’t need no teenage queen, I got me an M-16.
