  Posts: 53 Join Date: Apr 2008 | Rahxephon DVDRip ( Movie )  Ayato's life is about to radically change. Is he yet another Japanese high school student being whisked away to another dimension to save it from destruction? Not exactly... It turns out Ayato is in one of those 'Neo' predicaments. Everything he thought was real is a lie and the world is not what it seems. Ayato lives in Tokyo Jupiter, which is not at all the city he thought it was. Everyone there believes the rest of the world is a wasteland destroyed long ago in war. In actuality, Tokyo Jupiter is run by aliens. The premise is a bit like "Truman Show" meets "They Live" with some elementsĘsimilar to "Evangelion" and "Kacho Oji [Black Heaven]" added in. Not only are the citizens blisfully unaware of the true nature of their city, they don't even know what year it actually is. Let's just say that time works a little bit differently in the walled off city. Beyond the confines of the city barrier is the rest of the world where an organization named TERRA fights against the aliens they refer to as the Mu. Of course the Mu lie to the citizens of Tokyo Jupiter and refer to TERRA as the 'invaders'. Ayato falls into this mess because, well, it was bound to happen since he is the one who will pilot the most powerful Dolem mecha known as RahXephon.
