Miss China, a young Chinese girl, runs a restaurant in England. Dr Breckenridge and Jim are boarders that live upstairs. Unfortunately, Miss China has a problem with getting the rent from them because they spend all their money on wild inventions. The latest one allows people to travel to the moon. No one believes them, so they devise a way to prove it.

As young boys, Cooper, Gordon, and Shepherd were enchanted by the theories of life on Mars published by Percival Lowell. One of the most influential people on the subject. Consequently, they formed a club called the "Scientific Boys Club" and it continues for 50 years to come. With the help of Gordon's daughter Windy and her husband Jack, the boys pursue their lifelong dream of traveling to Mars.

Bristol may be a small town, but the Scientific Boys Club isn't the only attraction! Find out what is going on in the other side of this town as Miss China is shrunken to the size of a pea and travels to Mars in special short stories "Shrinking of Miss China" and "Planet of Miss China."
