The Cockpit
The Cockpit - 1993
   Summary: Based on Leiji Matsumoto's WWII manga The Cockpit and comprised of three 25 minute stories. The first story directed by Kawajiri Yoshiaki (Wicked City, Ninja Scroll, Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust, etc...) follows a German pilot tasked with protecting a bomber carrying Germany's last hope for victory along with the woman he loves. The second story dircted by Imanishi Takashi (Mobile Suit Gundam 0083) follows a kamikaze pilot and his attempt to destroy an American ship. The third story directed by Ryousuke Takahashi (Gasaraki) follows two Japanese soldiers trying to get to an airbase on motorcycles.
