Can't decide between Code Geass and Gundam 00. First has more interesting characters and (fictional) technology, the other is more interesting by itself, all this "Stop wars" thing, it's a really exciting theme.

Most of the UC Gundam series are good, like 0079, Zeta, or 08th MS team... I also really liked Gundam Wing

Code Geass and Guren Lagann are my favorite new mecha series.
I loved Big-O, but I guess that counts as Giant Robot more than mecha. |
