The manga is actually pretty damn good...like...its probably my favourite sports anime and I watch all sorts of anime (which include lots of sports ones too)...I just don't think there has been another anime that has captured me like this one...and in this...its not like captain tsubasa where omg we win in the very last second every time which kinda makes the characters seem all that much more human...love

one of the best anime series ever made. it's funny and serious at the same time. it's not dragging which is what most anime are nowadays. animes now takes soooo long to finish a fighting scene and each combatant has lots of trump cards and i here i thought that trump cards are your last. and what makes slamdunk more amazing is that at the end of every episode it makes you more appreciative of the sport called basketball it even inspired me and my friends to try out basketball...
