Higurashi no naku koro ni

I dont really know if its an old series, but i love it and i got a few questions about it

1)can someone explain the structure of this anime(how come every 4-5 ep begins a new story and such)
2)how is it related to Umineko no naku koro ni
3)what the heck is wrong with rena and mion?

alright questions:
1: Well it show the story out of a different perspective every time, the first one was Keiichi for example.
2:It's from the same maker, and it of the same kind of series (the when they cry's)
3: Please only click the spoiler if you watched the first season up until ep 22
Spoiler!

The series must be watched with an observant eye, as you might miss small details, as question 3 is explained in the first series and quest 1 in the 2nd if my memory doesn't betray me.

well, i'm gonna hit the sack, if you happen to like the series then join the no naku koro ni club in my siggy .

Re: Higurashi no naku koro ni

ya the whole series is split into different arcs... there is like 6 arcs in Higurashi no naku koro ni, there is also like 5 in Higurashi no naku koro ni kai (second season)
basically every arc is essentially a new perspective
there are two different types of arcs in the entire series, question arcs, and answer arcs... if my memory serves me correctly all of the first season except the last one or two arcs, are question arcs, and then after that, everything else is answer arcs.
the jist of it is, the question arcs are suppossed to get you thinking about the answer to the mysteries... and the answer arcs of course, give you the answers.
If you watched any of Umineko no naku koro ni and liked it, im sure you will love this series! i know i gave it a 10/10 rating lol!

Re: Higurashi no naku koro ni

thanks guys although im only at episode 15 now but ill watch it throughly and not miss any small details, oh man i love it!

another thing: let me get this:

firlst story i guess was unrelated because keiichi dies in a different way, killing mion and rena(?) and 2nd story was about?(i forgot all i remember that keiichi died again and it was in a different was again(it was shion and not mion that had the demon inside her and mion was locked in the cell right?) in the 3rd story, keiichi fell to the lake, thus saved from death by poison gas, in 4th story that was mentioned and it was related. the 5th story, im watching it now,its what happened in the 2nd story, just from shion's point of view.

im very confused can someone tell me how the stories are related?
