Although I do agree that some rules might be stupid, but certain rules such as:
1. If you drop gum on the pavement, you can be fined up to $600 in Thailand. 2. All those who attend a cinema show must stand up during the national anthem before a film begins. 3. Littering is a serious offense. If caught littering your punishment includes a fine of several thousand dollars, hours of litter collection, state-sponsored counseling, as well as your picture in the local news. These rules are basically trying to keep a country clean or make sure you do respect your own country. I live near both of the countries since they are just neighbor country. But I can see how it keep the country cleaner and the people loyal to their country. Maybe they just overdo it by a bit. |
