Just wanted to say Hi, Hello, How are ya, guess I'm doin' fine!

Also want to give props to Wat3v3r for pointing the way here, and also for turning me onto Elfen Lied >>>MINDBLOWN<<< Thanks dude!!!

Only been into anime seriously for a couple of months, led to it by Illusion's hentai games. Funny, I don't care much for hentai in the anime I like, but am digging SchoolMate atm :-P Right now I'm pretty overwhelmed with all the choices out there, jeez!

Still searching out the perfect animes for my tastes; but I guess I have weird ones LOL. Trinity Blood and Blood + look like they might be keepers, once I collect them, anyway. I just watched ALL 26 eps of Gilgamesh last night O.o I really liked it despite the somewhat blase reviews. So, that's my niche, I guess. Elfen Lied is really tops for me, and I'm hunting for a Lucy/Nyu avatar. I also dug "Melancholy of Haruhi S" a LOT more than expected!

Also, I'm a writer, and preparing to (hopefully) publish my first novel soon. Story means everything to me.

Anyway, nice to be here; everything looks so brand-spanking new! (Including me LOL)

about Elfen Lied or M.o.Haruhi S. they are my fav as well :P
for the gory part in Elfen Lied, it's the 2nd anime I've watched in that genre besides Akira.

anyway, as you are a new member and also a new anime/hentai enthusiast we are gladly to welcome you and hope we can offer you stuffs you could dig in all nights through :)

I have a small concern that hopefully doesn't apply here; may I ask about it?

Tonight I found that my account on HentaiGeeks was terminated without warning or notice, or anything done on my part. It took quite a while to discover that my post count was insufficient for further allowance there. Nowhere did it say that I needed to make many posts, and so I never worried about it. Right now I'm so angry about it I hope that they get shut down :-(

Being a real newbie to the whole art form, I didn't feel qualified to be posting anything other than what animes I liked, and those posts don't seem to be appreciated there, so I simply didn't post. I mean, I don't know ANYTHING LOL -I rarely even used their downloads section much. But it is where I found Wat's page/blog, so I gained at least something out of it, before they so very rudely slammed the door in my face.

I'm just a tad apprehensive about this happening over here. I worry because I get attached and it hurts/pisses me off when that happened, and want to be told if that could happen here. I don't want to have to worry about post counting, because I believe in only posting something of value. I fear I've gone overlong with this one, in fact, so I'll close now.

Except! I'll be happy to share my writing here; the story has gotten great reviews from readers so far. The reason Elfen Lied affected me so much was because of similarities with my characters, and the reaching into the heart as intense. I think it would make a great anime, given what I've seen so far. Anyway, as I get more used to the place, and comfy, I'll make a post about it eventually. I don't want anyone thinking that I'm just here to pimp my book :-P

I can assure that post counts is not the important thing here. It was not on our previous forum and won't be here that we kill members' account unless you do something inappropriate :P
I want to point out that you will activate your Private Message and other functions by getting some posts, after that you can do whatever you want^^ some like spamming some do not and we tolerate that. Don't worry about that, though taking part in the conversation is fun :)

maybe we should add a secret for this, like Role-Playing/Lyrical work

Thanks for the explanation (and welcomes), I always read rules and respect the Forums I choose to stay with. I used to like going to HG and read a lot, but after this mess I don't like them anymore. Not that they're missing anything by not having me, but I guess they don't like new people. Too much elitism there for my liking anyway...

I also am with Hongfire, which does treat its members with dignity (if they behave LOL)! Much friendlier than HG, as long as you read threads before posting ;-)

Anyway, before I blab too much I'll shut up now, and tomorrow will look around some more. Thank you again for providing a friendly place (for a change) for newcomers to the hobby :-D
