Fallout 3 is an action role-playing game currently under development by Bethesda Game Studios. It will be the third major game in the Fallout series, which has also spawned the spin-offs Fallout Tactics and Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel. The setting of Fallout 3 will take place in the year 2277, 36 years after the setting of Fallout 2 and 200 years after the nuclear war that devastated the game's world. The game will be released in North America on October 28, 2008, and in Europe on October 31, 2008. Release dates for other regions have yet to be officially announced.

Madworld is an inventive third-person action game exclusively for the Nintendo Wii. Produced by Atsushi Inaba, MadWorld has a unique black and white style depicting an incredibly sharp backdrop that straddles graphic novels and 3D worlds. As players battle opponents, they must master the use of various weapons and items found within their environment, such as chainsaws and street signs, while entertaining sports commentary adds to the third-person gameplay. With its irreverent humor and over-the-top violence, MadWorld will deliver a unique core gaming experience for Wii owners.

Infinite Undiscovery is an action role-playing game developed by tri-Ace and published by Square-Enix exclusively for the Xbox 360. The game is due out during September 2008 in Europe, Japan, and North America. This marks the first attempt by Square-Enix to release a game in all 3 regions simultaneously.

According to tri-Ace co-founder and R&D programmer Yoshiharu Gotanda, this game is set to contain 10 years worth of ideas that can finally be realized by the power of the Xbox 360 and that with it, "RPGs will undergo a true evolution." tri-Ace wishes to achieve this by putting the player through "situational battles" that will lead to "unknown discoveries" and cause permanent changes to the world.

Heavy Rain is an upcoming video game, developed by French studio Quantic Dream for the PlayStation 3. The game is being directed by Quantic Dream's founder and CEO David Cage, who also wrote and directed the studio's two previous games, Omikron: The Nomad Soul and Fahrenheit. The game is scheduled to be released in 2009. The game was announced at E3 2006, where a tech demo entitled The Casting was presented to the media and general public.
