I have rendered before it just i need lots of practice. seeing as unlike others my rendering time reaches 1-2 hours depending on the image am cutting it out.

Do you use pen tool? It really shouldn't take you that long.

well yeah i use the pen tool more then i use too. i use to use marquee and before that i had to use the extract tool in filters.

If I were better at making tutorials (like at all good) I would as
I wish I knew a good method for making them including tools and such.

Just a tip use feathering at 0.2 until you're more confident and also until you're more confident zoom in until you can see the lines of pixels.

i use curves every once in a while and when am cutting with the pen tool i have to set the feather to 0.2 but i think my problem is the zooming. i have to so how manage to control zoom and perfectly place the pen line around, it really makes things little complicated,

Well my examples aren't "perfect" but maybe they will help.


I never personally use curves, so draw your selection using the pen tool
Then right click and say make selection


I forgot to upload the other one in between but hopefully it's minor
As you may be able to tell I went back over to show you how to subtract


When making your new subtraction selection right click and say subtract from selection using the same feathering settings.
These images aren't distinct until you zoom in to at least full size then you can read some of the context menus. :P
