I'll start "obviously"...

I do love poetry. However to an extent. I'm not exactly the most knowledgeable of poetry. My work is usually dark and realistic (in other words, pessimistic). I tend to take poetry and use it as a way to discovering plot ideas or concepts for screenplays. So here goes nothing. Hope you all enjoy ^^

Broken Hearts

Remembering cadence to the wind
Tie together the bow
Letting our touch flee from within
We form such dignity
Our discipline can describe a knot
Brush the black silk
Our wealth stores against it
As it builds to break us

Stand tall and firm
Remember who said why
Let them feel the pain
No more blinking
Fore our life resides beyond
Beyond the cadence of the wind

Every symbol forms the hate
Drawing back to distance of reasoning
Where does such truth lie?

((Meaning))
- The meaning is nothing more then a description of one person becoming one with her past to realize the things that must be done to go beyond and succeed.

Rowan will Rise

The wound has never seeped so deep
Such a treacherous feeling
Sinking beyond my eyes
Forces of nature have already past
I can’t bury a hole
Not now
Not never

No more sun to rise or fall
No more comfort of a warm bed
It bleeds further into my lungs
He said to make the step
Go as far as your anger takes you
But if the heaviness won’t leave
Then what can happen?

More remorse, remorse
Bring a future to the meaning of glory
She can’t stop me
The anger is rising
The pain is rising

Time to get up Rowan
Grip the sword
Swing and slash
Let it end now

((Meaning))
- Rowan is the main character in a script I'm writing. This poem is from a scene in the script and yet with the words it describes the all around concept of the story.

i'm not sure why, actually i do know..but anyways yeah most of my poetry tend to turn out dark and depressing. Mostly 85 % percent of my earlier writings are depressing...i have one or two that aren't depressing but those are few...anyways here's one of my earlier writing. it depressing but not so depressing at the same time.

Remember

was it really destiny?
that you should be apart from me...
was it only in my dreams?
that these wings of mine, had made me free?

I know you left
I know you lied
I know you'll know
I'll sit and cry

But did you know
I knew you loved
I knew you cared
that you were scared

scared to love
to share your heart
to know one day
that we might part

time might stop
for us one day
but please remember
what I've said

I loved you then
I love you now
I'll always be in love with you somehow

The way your expressed the important things of a relationship was very inspiring. Excellent piece. I wanna read some more, butterfly. ^_^

most of my poems deal with relationships of some sort...i would say 95% of them do...surprisingly so since i myself have never been in a relationship...i think i imagine what could happen...and my earlier writings were during my times of depression...anyways here's another one...Although this one gives more of a hopeful tone to it. It's more 'bout always being there even after death and meeting again even after it.

Within the breeze

scented candles filled the air
gentle memories no longer here
crimson roses, sparkling skies
natures melody passed us by...

on that wondrous night in spring
crickets chirped and birds did sing
a heavenly moon, some shooting stars
all seem so close but somehow far...

you held my hand and reached my heart
you said you loved me and we'd never part
but now that time has passed me by
i sit alone and start to cry...

why did you leave me all alone
within this torture people call life
why did you leave me all by myself
within this torture of life itself

maybe one day I'll see you again
above the endless sky...
we'll travel along with the wind
and we'll never have to say goodbye...

But for now I'll think of you
when the sky is glittered with stars
and every time i feel the wind
i know that you're not far...

You'll always guide me through my life
and I'll always be your loving wife
even though we're worlds apart
you will always be here in my heart...
