Beautiful poem, butterfly. Absolutely beautiful! I think I felt something of my past coming back to remind me of the love I once had. That's never happened with poems....very good.

well done butterfly,those poems don't sound very depressing, I'd say the first one was somewhat reflective. I'm currently writing a poem to comemorate my entry into the club.
It springs from a concept I thought of the other day. When its done I'll share it. I like read
poetry, but I rarely write it. the one I'm most proud of seems to hve gotten lost and I only
remember the name, oh well.

thanx ^-^ this one, Autumn Sadness is my very first poem...well that i've written and kept. This was the first poem that I've kept and started building in my folder/books of poetry that I wrote. It's also one of my favorites. I remember writing it during biology class...when my teacher was lecturing about something or other...i think that was sophmore or junior year of high school...don't remember which. but yea it just came out...


Autumn Sadness

With the changing scenes
Of beautiful colors
Turn into the darkest
Of their forms
We soon realize that this time
Has come again for both of us.

Seeing the trees beauty falls
As it touches the cold ground
Reminds me of your face
Underneath the autumn moon.
Then in an instant everything turns black
And once again I lose you
Your face, your image everything
About you disappears from my view.

You left me that day
Taking my heart along with you
And didn't even tell me why
We were through
As tears roll down my cheek
The autumn wind wipes it clear.

A million times

I have seen you a million times
And every time I see you
I fall in love with you all over again
My heart starts to race
My frown turns into a smile
And all my worries are now in my past
When you smile at me my heart melts
You give the sweetest hugs
Every time you hug me
Your smile is like a new day
Your sense of humor is like no other
The ability you have to make me smile
Is all you need you love me
Your laugh is so soft and sweet
Just looking in your eyes
Makes me melt inside
Your lips look so soft
Soft enough to kiss
You, yourself relive me from all pain
Your hands are as soft as a pillow
The way you comfort me is amazing
Every time we say good-bye
I start to cry
I say good-bye to you too many times

I Miss You

I count the hours,
I count the days.
How much I miss you,
I count the ways.

I miss your voice,
I miss your touch.
And I miss the face,
That I love so much.

How to describe it,
There is now way.
I walk around,
In a permanent daze.

I long to feel,
Your warm embrace.
And to see a smile,
Upon your face.

I will not sleep,
Won't close one eye.
Until you're home,
Safe and alive.

While you're overseas,
And I'm safe at home.
I think of you out there,
In danger and alone.

This is the life you've chosen,
And I can't change your mind.

Special Jewel

when you find that special jewel
that sparkles from the crowd,
seek it out and don't be fooled,
by the treasures' guarded heart,

take her hand
and reach her soul
for with her soul and with your heart,
the two of you will never part...

And even during the roughest storm
The love you share will carry on
For love is stronger then darkened skies
Which stays awhile but then passes by...

And when this darken sky does pass
And the dawn has come anew
Then you shall know that love does last
And she will always love you too...

In Shadows

I've captured unicorns in flight
Through twilights purple skies
Danced with Aphrodite as
I gazed into her eyes

I've been intrigued by whispering angels
Frozen by the breath of the Divine
Made love atop soft silver clouds
Built castles from the sands of time

In a breath I've taken in the
Scent of all that perfumes Eden
Bathed in glistening moonlight
Transformed rainbows into seasons

Mythic journeys through the heavens
Have never taken me as high
As the magic of her presence or the
Sparkle in her eyes

She is my goddess of love and beauty
She is my Lord Divine
Enchanting as the blackest rose
Yet radiant as sunshine

She has the smile of an angel
A butterflys gentle touch
Ti's she who mystifies my dreams
I've come to love so much

I find myself returning to the
Streams of liquid light
Condemned to suffer once again
Amidst that ghostly winter night

Forbidden love concealed in shadows
Haunting secrets unrevealed
Despair and sorrow fill my eyes for
She knows not how I feel.
