Well I'm really into it o.o
There's an anime of it, The first season had 76 eps, and the 2nd season had 26 But the Manga has a whopping of 868 chapters right now xD     [All hatchlings are now adults ;D] - Proud Pirate of Enter the Grandline - Proud Member of World of Manga - Proud Shinigami of Gotei 13 - Proud Mafioso of Hitman Society - Proud Knight of Knight of the Round - Proud Speaker of Let's Speak Japanese Club

Comedy, Romance, Action :P, Slice of Life, Character development,
And unlike most animes/mangas when the main character faces the opponent than never shows up again, When Ippo faces an opponent they'll appear time and time again supporting him or challenging him again. Even the fillers in the manga/anime help build the character.
