I have recently gotten into reading manga and have naturally consumed my fair share. I was wondering if this board could recommend some stuff based on my likes and dislikes. I generally stray away from fight manga and horror but that does not mean that I do not read them. I stay far far away from romance/comedy manga though.

When I was a kid I watched the following anime to completion: Gundam, Dragonball (Z and GT too), Shaman King, Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo, Samurai 7, Yu Yu Hakusho, and Rurouni Kenshin. As you can see these are mainly fight anime/manga and I am trying to expand beyond that.

I currently read Naruto Shippuden, Bleach, Vinland Saga, Billy Bat, and Eden: It's an Endless Life.

I have finished and enjoyed Monster, Ghost in the Shell (all 3), Gantz, Basilisk, The Yagyu Ninja Scrolls, Blame!, NOiSE, Net Sphere Engineer, Pluto, Kwaiden, and Color of Rage.

I am in the midst of reading Planetes, Blade of the Immortal, and 20th Century Boys.

I have started and found that I do not like One Piece, D Gray Man, Hunter X Hunter, Historie, Berserk (I know Im a terrible person), and Rebirth.

I plan on reading (but if you guys think I wont like one of the following pleas let me know): Abara, Banya: The Explosive Delivery Man, Biomega, Claymore, Ikigami, King of Wolves, Knights of Cydonia, Kurosagi Corpse Delivery Man, Lady Snowblood, Lone Wolf and Cub, Mail, Old Boy, Path of the Assassin, Samurai Executioner, The Monkey King, Vagabond.

I must say that Eden has been my favorite read thus far, followed by Monster and 20th century boys.

So please try to recommend stuff to me around this info. Thank you so much for your time, consideration, and recommendations. I look forward to getting to read more excellent manga.

Hehe, it's funny that a lot of stuff you read have romance and comedy subplots to them. I am not really informed in fight manga (as you can see by my sig and pic....I'm into Ecchi), but History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi is a fighting manga....and the fight scenes are really cool.

Peridot is also another nice manga to read. Vagabond and Code Geass are nice also. I don't know if you will like them, but I did. Hopefully, they suit you also.

Shin Angyo Onshi and Claymore are mangas I've enjoyed so far. Shin Angyo Onshi has a unique and enjoyable storyline and goes for about 75 chapters.

Well I've read a whole lot but I'd definitely categorize berserk and claymore a must read for action fans ;)
